something got me thinking when I saw LazarX's post in the final thoughts thread:
...But the ordinary that the Vigilante has to be compared to... is that of the typical Fantasy adventurer. And to them, his abilities are nothing particularly special. He has easier access to the tropes such as the Secret Hideway, an the quick disguise, but with that package comes the forced cleavage between the Social and Vigilante identities....
As the analogy for cleavage is relatively apt, what then would be dual identities "tastful side-boob"?
and yes, this is a sidebar to both think about and laugh....

You remember how one of the worst things about the Gunslinger is that practically EVERYONE ends up being a better firearms master than the Gunslinger by simply taking 1 level of Gunslinger to gain the Gun, the Proficiency with All Firearms, Gunsmithing feat, 3 Deeds, and Grit?
Now take that & multiply it by Goku's Power Level, and you'll get an amount that's about HALF as many times as stupidly WORSE than the Gunslinger's Dilemma that the Vigilante's Dilemma currently is.

The worst thing about this issue, is that paizo might "answer it" by just gating the abilities behind further levels to ward against dipping.
See, though, at least that'd be something.
Making it a progressive "you start by having a small scaling Disguise/Bluff bonus, but at THIS level you gain a bonus against Scry effects, at THIS level you can shift your alignment, at THIS level you can..." thing would actually be a much, MUCH better design than the current steaming pile they've got.
Right now it's just...
Well, frankly, the whole class just seems like someone up at the top had an awful idea for a Four-In-One class and threatened to fire anyone who pointed out to them how absolutely god-awful an idea this was, while simultaneously not giving enough of a s&+# to actually TRY and make this class playable by itself in the most insignificant of ways.
