Cool, cool.
Can't wait.
A few questions. First, do you actually need to be involved in the Game Day event to partake in the G.I. Joe contest?
Secondly, from here, it's a little less clear if you need to play the character, while on the other page it seems to imply it's more for submission purposes only. Just wanted to check.

Do we have to have a certain amount of stars to run either of the scenarios? I am down for GM'ing a table of each if possible.
If I am not limited by stars, where do I sign up for product support? I don't have either scenario currently.

You are required to have 4+ Stars for Serpent's Rise, but anyone can run Siege of Serpents. I'm not sure this is accurate, but I'd guess that, for the former, you would be required to have 4 stars by 23Aug2015.

Indeed - You do need to be a participant in the gameday to submit a Joe for the contest.
You do not actually have to play the submitted Joe PC in the gameday - but feel free to, if you like. :)

Yep, right there in front of me. That's what I get for getting excited and skimming. I'll be signing up to run siege of serpents as soon as I can, then.

Someone asked for a list of Joes for the contest - here you go:

I was asked in a different thread if VTTs with Audio/Video could be used, specifically, for combat during the PbP gameday Special - this is the answer, in case anyone had the same question:
Good question - You can use any VTT for mapping and chat for a PbP game during the gameday, but A/V is not allowed. It's not really in the spirit of the event, and the event syncing could get wonky. Live play would finish combats much faster than forum play and could skew some of the combat success sensitive sections too much - so no audio/video for the PbP Gameday.
There is a VTT Gameday coming up soon enough - so we should reserve live play for that. :)

Yes (it's in the FAQ in the main post).
The usual rules about not spoiling it for others, and not meta-gaming encounters, et cetera, would apply - but it is legal to play and GM at different tables.
Not that I have any plans on doing this, but given the nature of PbP would it be legal to play at one table of the special while running a different table in the same event?

We frequently see games GMed and played on the same day at conventions. So it should be fine.
That sounds awesome, but won't that cause some reporting issues? Since the date will be the same for all tables reported. Just wondering if that gives a different message than the normal; Player already played this on <date>

When these Specials are successful come completion of Gameday 4 is there any chance of doing some of the previous Specials as PbP for future game days for people who have yet to do them? I.E. Year of the Shadow Lodge; Blood Under Absalom; Race for the Runecarved Key.
From discussions I've had with IronHelixx, it is perfectly legal for a group of GMs to run an older Special via PbP if there are enough tables involved to meet the minimum. It just takes initiative and organization to make it happen.
I am similarly interested in the older Specials, so I can see us doing something like this on Myth-Weavers in the future, either as part of a Gameday, or as a standalone.

Absolutely.
Assuming all goes well with this one, we will likely do the GenCon 2015 Exclusive next gameday. We do plan on working through the backlog of specials as we go though.

Should be soon. There have been a few things going on with PFS in general and then also GenCon is on which I believe many of the 4+ Stars are attending.
Should be soon though.
Until then, take some time to consider what you would like to run or play, as well as get some prepping done. :)
I'm going to offer to run some Quests if anyone is interested, in addition to another game or two.
I also highly suggest we all take a look at what others are offering to run so we can offer a lot of options for games rather than focus on a few.
For players, it might also be very helpful to make a few suggestions for scenarios and modules you really want to play in before the sign up sheet is up.
I know I'm open to running things people are interested in even if I already have. So, just take a moment to try to pick out some options. Something I've noticed in the past, and I'm pretty sure that it will be further complicated by the Specials this time, is that there seems to be a lot of 1-5 Scenarios and also a lot of some of the newest Scenarios offered, and it does seem that things like the older scenarios and the higher level scenarios tend to fill up fast but not have any other tables for them being run. A lot of DM's, I think like to get the newer scenarios free for running, and there is nothing wrong with that, it just sort of leads to a lot of the same scenarios being offered and tables not being filled well. <And I could be wrong, just something I've noticed.>
Maybe we can try to work together and offer more options?

IronHelixx, are individual GMs supposed to sign up for the multi-table Special, or is that something you plan on assigning?

![]() |

GMs should register and recruit their own tables for the special and exclusive.
If recruiting for the special/exclusive becomes problematic this gameday, we will take a more active role next time - but I think the GMs have been pretty good at recruiting in previous gamedays, so I do not foresee and issues.
If anyone needs any help though we will be available to help guide players to GMs and fill/sort tables.

If there is an event admin here: It would be great (as a player) if there were a way for GMs or VOs to mark a scenario as full on the scenario list.
It seems all of the Serpent's Rise sessions announced thus far are already full...
