Don't get me wrong, I like GMing but I'd also like to get to play.
I'd like to play in any APs except RotRL (as I'm currently runinng it.) I'd especially love to play in Iron Gods,Kingmaker,or Wrath of the Righteous. But I'd also be interested in homebrew campaigns. Just lemme know about your campaign and I'll see if I'm interested :).

Just give the application process a shot. While something like this could work, chances are low. GMs are in demand, and players are in no short supply. Sure it's a bit of a free for all to get into a game, but it gives you the chance to build a great character with an interesting concept. Plus, the chances are better that you'll get a serious GM if they have a serious application process with high admission standards (not always of course, this is the internet after all)
Otherwise, perhaps one of your current players in your ROTRL campaign would be willing to GM for you.
Who knows, you might get lucky!

Also, you might be wondering why I'm not just posting in a campaign's recruitment thread. Those threads intimidate me as there are lots of applicants and I feel as if I won't get chosen due to the amount of people applying.
It can be intimidating, particularly if you end up in the mood for a particular class or race only to find over half the applicants seem to be in the same mood. I mean, it's one thing to go "I'm in the mood to make a fighter" when others are all pushing for arcane types, but if you run into a thread that already has 12 other fighters, 8 Barbarians, 2 cavaliers and a ranger in a pear tree? It can make you wonder if you have a chance.
Still, if you can accept that you're likely to get overlooked more often than accepted but keep trying, odds are eventually you'll get in.
Also, there is a stickied thread in the recruitment section you might want to look at called OPEN AP APPLICATIONS FOR PCS TO JOIN AND GMS TO RECRUIT! If you haven't seen it already. Lots of competition, but at least the GM is looking for you

I present to you Shadow of Ascanor.
It's a niche game certainly, but if you're willing to live in a world of pure imagination creeping dread, the sky is the limit...
...until you fly too close to the sun anyway.
