Javelin Focused Warpriest

Advice

As the name suggest I wanted to roll up a Javelin focused Warpriest, Kurgess might be the god as its his favored weapon.

Well I wanted to be able to really make this build work but I am running into a bit of an issue.

I know I use Dex to throw, but I use Str to dmg right?
Well any way to change that without adding Agile?

I was thinking of picking up the Glove of Endless Javelins from 3.5's MIC. It created +1 Javelins made of pure force (Which should scale with the Warpriest's favored weapon increase in size.)

Any suggestions?

Well, if you are able to use 3.5 stuff, the feat brutal throw is the way to go. One of my players in our previous campaign tore stuff up with it. He was by far the biggest damage dealer in the party, even over the synthesis summoner.

Ouch I didn't think it would get that powerful. I know it uses Str to Hit rather then Dex but yeah it makes it really good on Str and Wis focus.

Anything else?

Guided hand for wis to attack; this would require a couple of feats and would come in a bit late unless you dipped cleric or similar.

Warpriest gets Channel energy and proficiency with the divine weapon. So picking up Channel Smite would allow it.

Guided (Enhancement) would be nice for a way to add it to the gloves, Wis to Attack and Dmg.

You could try to nab a Belt of Mighty Hurling.

14,000 GP is a high cost.

A warpriest gets channel energy at 4th level. Taking channel smite at 5th level so you can take guided hand at 7th is waiting a bit longer than I'd like, hence the suggestion of a dip to get channel energy earlier. A human cleric could pick them both up at first level (the community and travel domains have domain powers with lasting usefulness) and you could go straight into warpriest from there.

Of course, if you're willing to wait for a custom magic item you may have more ultimate power.

If this is a home game, I would ask GM if you can treat javelin as a Finesse weapon, if you can then try a do in Unchained Rogue to get both Finesse as a bonus feat and DEXWpn dmg ondmg melee attacks (sorry, no ranged). That, plus Piranha Strike (DEX Power Attack).

I'd have to re-check the whole 'throwing a two-handed weapon' thing, but I think it's possible to use Crusader's Flurry to throw spears with Flurry of Blows (Crusader's Flurry must have a melee weapon, so you can't use javelins). Sacred Fist of Ra?

Javelins are Ranged, so does that make them two-handed?
