Now you get GALT!!!!
All those ideas, well thought out and lovingly posted.
Yet the only one anyone remembers is the one that's just the name of some place some a#!@~#@ picked randomly out of a book, shouted out in all caps Braveheart style.
All because I was right about Skull and Shackles and Mummy's Mask. :-)

Yeah it's why when I have creative stuff I want feedback on I post it in FAWTL or PM it directly to people for immediate response.
The few times I've tried posting openly on Paizo most of it gets ignored. It works if you're Kirth or Ashiel or someone else who has years of forum cred as a source of that sort of thing, built up back when the Paizo user base was much smaller, but nowadays that's a much harder field to break into and I just don't have the time or the dedication.

Hmm, my most favorited recent posts are getting punched in the face and a link to the WaXP and SoD announcements.
If you go back a little further, both of those are beat by a post which only contains a link to an old article and one line of analysis on a character.
Meanwhile, the really long posts I made on Ashiel's thread only got a couple favorites each. Yea, I don't think quality determines how many favorites a post gets.

Of course not. If it did, I would have huge amounts of favourites on my posts. HUGE, I tell you.

Ghostbusters (1&2)
The Last Starfighter
- Dang, it, 80s, you made good films!
(Even if occasionally suuuuuuuuper-silly/wish fulfillment...)
Last Starfighter?
I know I know it, who's in it?

You have been recruited by Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Kodan armada!
EDIT: Ghostbusters in Japan... "There is no Dana, only Xur"?
Speaking of movies, while I absolutely understand the frustrations of many fans with it, Star Trek, really, really reminds me of a movie based off of the The Original Series episodes (and sometimes more). Similarly the movies - it's a genuinely better film than about half of the Star Trek films out there. It's more Star Trek, in some ways, than Final Frontier or Insurrection; and is about on-par with Generations and Nemesis.
Into Darkness was clearly a lesser film, though I still found things to enjoy from it.
Incidentally, were the Thasians related to the Q or that one alien?
EDIT: For more clarity.

Wasn't there a race in a TNG episode where the guy got mad at an invading species and willed the entire race out of existence, because they killed his wife?

Also, The Last Starfighter looks gorgeous on blue ray.

So, hey, what 80s movie should I watch next?
There is an approximately 0% chance that I have it (it's technically larger than 0, but, you know, rounding), but I'm willing to take suggestions.

Still working on more good 80's movies starting with "B".
NobodysWife suggested, "Bette Midler in Ruthless People", but I think that's stretching it...

Big Business? (I don't remember that movie well, at all, but I think Bette was in it?)

As a child that lived in the country and didn't even have a working television, much less a VCR, until 1986 (or later, maybe 87 or 88) I also don't have the best repository of 80s movie knowledge. :-)
So, why not have fun with it, eh.

That is not the problem. The problem is that if you look to actually good movies from the nineties and call them eighties' movies, there are so many awful eighties' movies you don't inflict on the poor guy. :-)
