Evil Eye (Su): The shaman causes doubt to creep into the mind of a foe within 30 feet that she can see. The target takes a –2 penalty on one of the following (shaman's choice): ability checks, AC, attack rolls, saving throws, or skill checks. This hex lasts a number of rounds equal to 3 + the shaman's Wisdom modifier. A successful Will saving throw reduces this to just 1 round.

At 8th level, the penalty increases to –4.

This is a mind-affecting effect. At 8th level the penalty increases to –4.

I also mined the forums. So its not like this exact same question hasn't been asked before and marked as a FAQ candidate.

EDIT: Similar questions about the Shaman's Evil Eye being mind-affecting or not haven't been answered by the FAQ.

My guess is that we won't get a FAQ because this is an omission that will be fixed in the ACG errata.

Forcing doubt to creep into ones mind sounds like mind-affecting to me.

If you can get enough FAQs to place it near the top of the FAQ list then we can get an early answer. Otherwise we're stuck waiting for the Errata

RAW, the Shaman's Evil Eye is not mind-afffecting. This seems pretty intentional to be honest, considering they also made Chant (Ex) instead of (Su) like Cackle.

It is official. The ACG update on 7-22-15 adds the words "this is a mind-affecting effect." to the evil eye text.
First page of the errata under the changes to page 36 in the book.
