Eldritch Heritage and improved familiar?

Rules Questions

dose eldritch heritage qualify a fighter with no caster levels for improved familiar? say a Azata, lyrakien requires a 7th level caster level. can he still take the Azata, lyrakien as a familiar.

Indeed it does (assuming you mean after grabbing the Arcane Bloodline). This is a popular avenue for healing classes to acquire a familiar for delivering their touch spells.

You are treated as having sorcerer levels equal to your character level minus 2. Since Sorcerers are arcane casters, that fulfills the requirement for Improved Familiar.

It will work.
-Skill Focus (Knowledge)
-Eldritch Heritage (Arcane)
-Improved Familiar at 9th level

Now that the Familiar Folio is out, you have two other options as a fighter. You can select the Eldritch Guardian archetype or you can use the feat chain...

-Iron Will (which most fighters get anyway)
-Familiar Bond
-Improved Familiar Bond (optional)
-Improved Familiar at 7th level

Indeed, it's legal.

Now if only we could figure out a good and legal way to get Tiny sized weapons...

You think it's illegal?

would eldritch heritage: Orc make my character an or for the purposes of traits, feats, bane weapons, and the like?

No, you'd need Racial Heritage: Orc for that.

no but half orc is as good a race as any.

Maybe I'm missing something, but where does it say you get the Caster Level required to qualify for the Improved Familiar feat?

Improved Familiar doesn't actually have a caster level requirement.

It has various and sundry "Arcane Spellcaster Level" requirements, but since you're treated as a Sorcerer of level -2... well, Sorcerers are arcane spellcasters right?

You're right; I stand corrected.

They are indeed, but... you're treated as one "for the purpose of using that (the bloodline's) Power". And the Bloodline Power says: "Your sorcerer levels stack with any wizard levels you possess when determining the powers of your familiar or bonded object".

No mention of being treated as an Arcane Caster of any level for the purpose of selecting feats. A character's ability to pick the Improved Familiar feat does not depend on "the powers of your familiar", after all.

I'm surprised you've never heard of that before.

There are no rules to be found on pricing weapons beyond Small/Medium/Large.

Even the Designers acknowledge the last minute removal of a pricing chart from the CRB.

All we have is a way to price armor of different sizes.

For home games, it's easy to intuit a price for tiny-sized weapons.

For PFS, you're out of luck.

a doll maker can make some clothing and armor maybe.
