Good afternoon,
I'm looking to add one PC to out ongoing Planescape game (using Pathfinder rules). The current gameplay thread is here for those that want to peruse it.
We've got a pretty balanced party so far (a fighter, a wizard, a cleric, a bard, and a knifemaster rogue) so most character types would fit. The big requirement is that we currently have no evil characters, so any newly accepted PC must be evil. Given that the PCs are working for the devils in the Blood War, LE is a great fit, though NE could potentially work. CE will be hard pressed to get accepted.
Submission guidelines (same as the original thread aside from alignment):
No third party products of any kind will be considered.
Attributes: 25 point buy.
Races: Any up to 15 RP.
Classes: Any. Know that I'm substantially less likely to take classes that don't fit the Planescape themes or things like Synthesist Summoners that are intended to break games.
Alignments: Evil.
Traits: Any two that aren't specific to other campaigns. No drawbacks.
Starting Level: First.
Starting Gold: Max.
Starting HP: Max. Subsequent levels will be average.
Other notes:
I'm trying to keep to a once/day posting rate though I personally often post more so am not opposed to frequent posters. I do want to keep combats to at least one round per 24 hours however so if posting slows, know that I'll take any stated intent and keep moving through the combats.
I'm going to keep this recruitment on an open ended deadline. I'd like to find someone by this Friday, March 27, but will take a submission that fits well earlier and will keep things open longer if necessary.
Look forward to seeing ideas!

I have an interesting idea for an Aasimar Sorc I have brewing...
Years go by, as he plots and plans. Trying to gain an upper hand, an edge, some kind of answer, so he can be with his family once again.

For everyone:
I did leave out one thing from the rectuitment requirements! I'd like to see a summary of the contract your character signed with the Baatezu in order to work with them. Doesn't have to have tons of legalese or detail, just the service you are providing for them (and a sense of why they would want you) and what you are getting in return.
@ Tyeal I definitely don't object to Aasimars, so feel free to stat the character out. Do remember that the characters have to be of evil alignment rather than just working for evil benefactors, but that doesn't preclude working for the Baatezu due to circumstances that the character would rather not be in.
Qalendar
As a player in the game I want to stress that with the current party makeup a character of almost any class would be appropriate to fill out the group. It's only important that the character be Evil (though obviously be willing to work with a group.) The only conflict I can think of would be a character with inspire courage as that wouldn't stack with the bard that we have. But other than that, absolutely anything would fit.
Also, he current group is a Tiefling, an Aasimar, two Humans, and a Goblin. So there's even room for just about any race that fits the guidelines.
DM Morvius
Would you be open to a custom race? I am mulling over a githyanki gish, if you are open to it.
Only paizo races. Though you can choose any that are 15 RP or less.
And as Qalendar noted, we really can take any class and it would be fine. So if you want to make a magus of a paizo race, there would be nothing wrong with that.
Arik Nihlas
Allow me to introduce Arik Nihlas, Lawful Evil Void-Touched Sorcerer, contracted to do the bidding of devils to keep his family safe from a forcibly corrupt Paladin, thirsty for Celestial blood.

Maybe a reskinned Paizo race then? I could probably make that work if it's an option. If not, might consider some other concept. Just trying to come up with an interesting character.

I'm potentially willing to consider a reskinned paizo race, but I'd avoid the gith. To save myself pain and to make sure that players know what they can expect, I'm avoiding anything without paizo mechanics in universe. Therefore the gith as a race don't really exist - since they don't have paizo mechanics and since they are heavily based on psionics, another thing paizo doesn't have mechanics for yet.

This is a concept that I've had in my head for an evil character for...well, for quite some time. =) Ever since 3rd ed., and it was inspired by the Book of Vile Darkness. Ya, it's a little bit...insane. =3 But seeing as how this is the Blood War it seems like she might fit right in.
(NOTE: This is the origin story of how someone turns -evil-. The good guys don't win in this one and some things that aren't nice happen. But it's just a story. For your approval. =)
Some of the names are still from 3rd ed, but they can be easily changed to fit the campaign if I'm picked.
"Has anyone asked you?" said Dane, after a few minutes work.
"I've no idea what're talking about," she answered, though she knew quite well what he meant.
"I doubt you've forgotten about the Harvest Ball, unless you've stumbled on a clump of Funnyweed. What about that Divid kid?"
"Stop calling him a kid. He's sixteen, same as me," she said, but the thought of Divid's broad shoulders and deep grey eyes holding her waist and dancing, slowly, made her blush up to her chin.
"Sorry. Kid. Well, has he asked you? If you go with him, maybe, at the end of the night, he'll kiss you."
Now the blush reached past her eyebrows, and she opened her mouth for some retort, but the her mind had no room other than the thought of getting her first kiss. That would be an interesting day.
A shout from the farmhouse grabbed her from their attention. Father stood outside, with Mother and her young sister Linnean, and was yelling at them to get going to school. Cavinti stood up and brushed herself off. Some grass had caught in her necklace and she grabbed it out.
"Still wearing that old thing?" said Dane, referring to the necklace.
"Mother gave it to me three years ago on my name day. And I swore to never take it off."
"It's nothing special, it just spells our last name."
"Don't you think a name is important?"
**************************
HighMother Iona Greenfield glided through her commune of Clearwater. She had originally founded it with a few dozen followers seeking a way to better enter Pelor's light, but the black, rich soil and the light hand of government had gathered others who had lost their way to her, and it now boasted over 300 souls. Some might consider that a success, but there was much to do. Messengers from the Duke needed constant reminders that he didn't actually own the land, and raiding bands from the Ironhand Orcs were almost becoming a nuisance. Still, no one looked over her shoulder here and Pelor had again smiled upon the harvest. Perhaps there would be enough for a new well, or even a low wall that Master Dagon kept asking for.
After walking through the still-growing market and settling a minor disagreement between two newly arrived merchants, she arrived almost on time to teach at the commune's small school house. Today's lesson was on Universal Harmony, and students had gathered with bright eyes for this morning's words.
"And so," HighMother Greenfield continued, after covering the basics of Truth and Harmony, "we see that the Karmic Circle is a fundamental truth of nature and runs constantly, even when we are not aware of it."
"Excuse me, HighMother?"
Iona barely suppressed a sigh. Though her back was turned, she knew the voice. This one asked many questions. And none of them were easy. She turned around, a bright smile pasted on her face.
"Yes, Cavinti? What is it?"
"I'm sorry, but how can we know that the Karmic Circle is real? How could there be any evil in the world if it was?"
This made Iona angry. Hadn't she been listening? The girl was too proud and needed more humilty.
"Now really, Cavinti, the question itself makes no sense. As the woodman chops the tree, does not the tree itself dull the axe? Think of your last name. It means "a cure to all ills". If you are to live up to it, you'll need to pay more attention, young Paynacea. See me after class for lessons on Modesty."
"Yes Highmother."
Just as that crises past a new one sprung to take it's place, as some fool ran through the main road screaming his lungs out. The students cranked their necks to see what the fuss was about and began murmering excitedly. Now she'd get no work done. She told the children to remain seated (which they promptly ignored) and went outside to see to the matter.
The screaming fool turned out to be Farmer Honst, who was jabbering excitedly at Master Dagon, who grabbed his ax and began following the farmer back the way they'd come. As they past the HighMother, Dagon simply said "orcs" and went on his way.
What a bother. Now the whole morning would be ruined. Young Dane and Divid would be wanted by their fathers to drive off another dozen orcs too dumb to have learned their lesson. Then the rest of the children would want to watch, which was just as well since they'd need to drive off their own orcs some day. She sighed. Very well.
In a few minutes the menfolk had formed a crude line along the west side of the town, and the Highmother kept a close watch over a flock of students a safe distance away. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long and she might be able to get to the Fourth Line of Reason before midmeal.
A Shadow appeared along the horizon. Iona wondered why the shadow seemed to move, since there was not a cloud in the sky. Surely that dark line was a shadow?
The Shadow grew closer, and took on a greenish tinge.
Too soon individual forms could be seen.
No lost squad of scouts this. No band of a handful of young toughs out of their league. These orcs had a name.
And that name was Horde.
"Chidlren," said the HighMother. "Run." Iona advanced to the battleline, readying her spells and prepared to meet Pelor.
*****************************
At first Cavinti didn't know what to do. A few of the other girls just sat down and started screaming, including Linnean. But the HighMother had told them to run, so that was what she was going to do. She grabbed Linnean's hand and started running along Mill Road. They had not gone a score of paces before the shriek of steel-on-steel demanded her attention, and she stopped and turned around.
A great line of orcs crashed against the line of farmers and smiths like a green tidal wave. She saw Father stab an orc clear through with his pitchfork before three other orcs cut both his arms off. Even as his body fell the orcs kept stabbing him, over and over. Divid swung an old broadsword, but it just rang off an orc's rusty chain. Then the orc cut his head off, and his corpse just fell. Now those deep eyes would never stare at her. Dane stood over a small mound of orcs and brought death around him, but the line of farmers was breached in a dozen places. An orc stabbed his back with a rusty shortsword, and another jumped on him...and started eating his face.
Cavinti turned to run. If she could make the woods she might be able to hide out until nightfall. But as she turned she only saw fast wolf-riders closing the circle. She was trapped.
She turned south and ran, letting go of Linnean's hand, ignoring her screams, survival her only thought. She felt the hot, fetid breath of a wolf on her back and was flung forward, a massive paw holding her down. A large orc-shaped shadow fell across her and she was turned around. Three orcs stood above her, the one in the middle the largest, with a short tusk and one horn from his helmet missing.
Rough hands grabbed her and tore off her dress and tore off her small clothes and she was naked before them.
In the week that followed she was violated hundreds of times, no mercy was shown and every corruption was visited upon her body. It was beyond hurt, beyond torture. This was purest pain.
At the end of the first day she stopped praying for death, because no one was listening.
After three days she stopped praying to Pelor, and prayed to anybody.
Everybody.
For something.
Anything.
And sanity left her.
Different orcs visited her, but always the large one with the short tusk returned to her, so it was that he was on top of her when the week ended and another orc approached, speaking broken common at him
"He's been spotted on the East road with a band of fools. Put down your plaything, Lord Borak. We must make haste if he's to lead us to the map."
The large orc just nodded and a mailed fist crashed down on her head.
*********************************************
She took a moment to wonder that the Afterlife was exactly as she imagined it. A white-paced road winded a long way, and at the end there was a large golden gate, beckoning her. She knew that the soul had to journey, and imagined that this would be hers. She began walking.
"To where do you go?"
The voice startled her, because she had been alone on the road. But the voice was very soothing. And the speaker was tall. Very tall. With rich black hair and a clean, square beard. On his back rode a sword that curved on a way that was almost...sexy?
"I go to my reward. I've certainly earned it."
"Is that what you wish?"
She opened her mouth to answer, because of course she must wish to go beyond. But the word stuck in her throught. She did NOT wish the End. In her mind's eye she saw what she wished, and it was that she would do to that awful, vile, orc all of the things that he had done to her. To make HIM suffer as she had! Yes! THAT was what she wished.
"No," she answered.
"I see your desire," said the tall man with the wavy sword. "I can give it to you. Would you like that? To return? Simply pledge yourself to me, and all you desire will be yours."
It seemed a simple choice.
"Yes."
"Excellent." He smiled.
She woke, alone and naked, with the midday sun directly above her. Her wounds had healed, but her mind was filled with visions. With fantasies. With blood. She knew now that she had purpose. And that was all she had.
She searched about the burned ruins of Clearwater for supplies. Here there was dress that had only a few tears in it. There a waterskin. Here a few coins under a body only somewhat burned. She thought she may have known the body, but that was a lifetime ago.
She last found her necklace. It has been broken, of course, but so had she. It no longer said her name. No. It no longer said her old name. But she would call herself by what letters were left. Just like her, it had not been broken, just made into something else. Since she was what she had become, she would call herself this new name. The name of
Payn.
*End*
I realize that's a bit longer than some people have time for, so here's a summation:
Then here's the concept:
1) She'd start as a 1st level evil cleric, aiming to go for a cleric/sorcerer Mystic Theurge.
2) One minor spell that could be worked in is Devil's Hand, an evil version of Spectral Hand that causes 2d4 points of damage and has some evil thematic element, and she'd use this to deliver things like Cause Light Wounds.
3) BoVD introduced some of what we now call "Traits" and so she'd start with both Sadism and Masochism. They just give bonuses to hit when she takes or receives damage.
4) If you wanted, she would have a RP element of wanting to use Hold Person and coup de grace to 'sacrifice' souls to her evil patron. Whether or not this had any game effect is left entirely up to the DM, but it might add an interesting RP element.
I play nice with others, so we wouldn't have any problems trying to kill civilians or PVP. =) But you've gotta admit that this a very interesting ride to take for a spin. ;-D

@Veltharis - Look forward to seeing what you come up with.
@Atlas2112 - Feel free to stat the character up (doesn't have to have an alias at this point if you'd prefer otherwise). I'm going to say no to custom mechanics however, so don't anticipate changes or additions that require new or altered mechanics.
DM Morvius
DM Morvius,
Would you be open to a genasi kineticist? The genasi aspect would be covered by an appropriate Paizo planetouched race (ifrit, sylph, undine or oread), but kineticist would require use of Occult Adventures playtest material. Of course, I'd update once the books come out in July.
The race I don't have an issue with, but I did get asked this question on class the first time around and so I'll stick with that answer. No on the kineticist for now, but if you want to take an existing class, when the Occult Adventures book does come out, I'll take a look at it and if it seems acceptable, people can multiclass into those classes as normal down the line.

Hey there,
So as I said, I'm envisioning either a barbarian or a bloodrager with an infernal bloodline. He's a half-orc whose tribe was about to engage a more powerful rival tribe. He entreated various dark powers for aid in defeating his foes ans victory, and received aid in the form of the might of Hell.
The battle raged, and when the dust settled, this guy was victorious. He was the only survivor on either side, and with no one left to either protect or slay, this circumstance triggered the servitude clause of his pact.
Do you think this idea has any traction? I'd love any feedback you'd care to give.
Later on,
Ghorrin Redblade

@Redblade8 Feel free to stat the character up. As far as I can tell it should meet the requirements of submissions.
For everyone, in case you want to work it into your recent history, all of the PCs are hired in Sigil by a tiefling headhunter/talent broker known as Gaslight. As you can see from the gameplay thread, the PCs are currently on a prime material world trying to deal with a dicey situation in a Tempus-worshiping nation.
DM Morvius
Just wanted to remind the people that have expressed an interest or are still statting their characters up that I'm going to try to make a decision tomorrow if possible.
So if you are out there and on the fence, feel free to put up a character sheet, background, and contract and toss your hat into the ring. Once I make a decision, you'll be able to get into the game pretty quickly.

Alright!!
Here she is.
I see you guys lack an Arcane, so I'll start heading in that direction come 2nd, but it seemed to make more sense to take the 1st level as a cleric.
(And she'll sort of be filling the roll of Battlefield control anyway, since she, um, sort of can't heal...but that's not a bug, it's a feature! ^_^)
I've RP'd people with some...issues...in the past, and I can say I try to make it an absolute blast for both myself and the party!
Look forward to playing with you.
Qalendar
For anyone concerned, if there's anything a party can always use more of it's arcane! So no worries.
As said earlier, given what's in the party at the moment, it'd be difficult to go wrong. Another heavy hitter wouldn't be out of line, a ranged fighter, a divine or arcane caster. Pretty much anything but doubling up on inspire courage would work out fine.

I proposed a character for this game originally (it was competitive!) But I've been playing Planescape: Torment lately and have been reacquainted with the fun morals of the system (and I didn't realize last time that the game was starting in Sigil).
So here's my resubmission, with a slight alignement shift (I've got enough aliases right now to only create them for accepted characters):
Quick Summary:
Marvin Crofter
LE Aasimar (Lawbringer) Magus (Hexcrafter)
Age: 160; Occupation: Advocate/Bounty Hunter (Formerly: Barrister)
Faction: Fraternity of Order
Party Role:
-Hit things with spellstrike for damages
-Really into cursing people
-Will have fun times using swashbuckling arcana to Zorro his name or painful (literally) insults onto the faces of people he stabs
-Super old, decent diplomacy, character has a very intelligent/creative personality and would be generally fun to roleplay using his intelligence
Marvin was born, over a century ago, as a singular, special child. He bore a keen interest in rules, honor, and justice, inspired by the shining example of a mysterious, absent father he had only met once. Marvin excelled at his studies, as well as fencing, penmanship, and other physical tasks he could best through skill over strength.
Over the decades, he traveled from place to place, building careers as a merchant, jeweler, tinker, but eventually settling into a legal career, where he gained renown as a skilled and eternally enthusiastic barrister and man of letters. He also fostered a bit of a magic hobby—although never combat trained, he learned how to amuse at parties with light spells and deliver small curses to former friends he caught cheating at cards.
Justice is justice — and if Marvin learned one thing over his extraordinarily long life, it was that the world was cruel, and justice had to be as well. By aasimar standards, he had never started out as a kind or caring man, despite his best efforts to uphold and prosecute the law; by his second century, he was vindictive and unyielding even by the lower standards of human morality, putting away criminals with an unusual level of relish and often smiling quite a bit during sentencings.
And eventually, one final injustice dawned on him: that, though its progress was slow, he was nevertheless aging, and would, in only a handful of decades, wither into a worthless old man and die. But Marvin knew he deserved to find a way to live, and so he pored over the most esoteric texts he could get his hands on, corresponding with diabolists and the more erudite sort of necromancer.
Eventually, Marvin attempted a summoning, hoping to bring forth an outsider he could convince to grant him extra years of youth in exchange for… something. Instead, he brought himself somewhere else.
But rules are rules, and Marvin found a way to adapt quickly to his new home in the City of Sigil. The City of Doors has always had need for the sort of expert who can draw up a detailed, clever contract quickly, without flinching at the terrifying creature commissioning the work or feeling pity for the party on the other end of the bargain. And so he soon found himself working for Hell, first as a notary and then as an enforcer, willing to accept any ethical quandaries necessary to strike a carefully-crafted, intelligent blow at the forces of Chaos.
I the Undersigned, Marvin Crofter, recognize and acknowledge that there is no complicated contract that neither I nor my employer is not skilled enough to find fault with. Instead, I write and submit this petition myself, knowing with full confidence what I volunteer for.
To demonstrate my skills, I pledge my service to Hell in the fulfillment of specific tasks as it may see fit to offer me. Each such task I will be given to accept of my own free will, under no charm or compulsion, and with no penalty inflicted in case of forfeiture or failure. I recognize payment for such tasks is not to be always expected; though any payment promised must be procured upon completion.
My aim is this: Demonstrating my effectiveness as an agent of Order and Hierarchy, I hope to prove valuable enough to my employers that they provide me with tools and protection to carry out further tasks; and, furthermore, that they will do what they can to extend my life span if it proves useful to their interests.
This contract is only valid while I still remain alive, unmutilated, and possessing my own free will. Should an agent acting for or at the wishes of Hell decide to betray me through an act that breaks this contract and results in my death, I knowingly consign my soul to the Abyss, to fight for the loathed Tanar’ri in the Blood War unless or until revived by healing magic, hoping that such a violation clause will provide all necessary incentive against treacherous dealings.
Race:
Aasimar - Lawbringer (Archon-Blooded, +2 Con, +2 Wis)
Exalted Resistance: Gain SR 5 + Lvl vs Evil Outsiders’ abilities, replaces Energy Resistance
Immortal Spark - Replaces Skill bonus and SLA, gains Lesser Age Resistance 1/day

Sorry for the selection delay, downtime yesterday when I was otherwise hoping to post a decision.
Thunderbeard/Marvin Crofter, feel free to head over to the discussion thread here and feel free to check in. We'll get you integrated into the gameplay section shortly!
