Brawler / Monk - Shield Champion / Master of Many Styles

Rules Questions

Is the combination of Brawler/Monk - Shield Champion/Master of Many Styles a legal one?

I am not sure how much Brawler's Flurry and Flurry of Blows interact.

Master of Many Styles requires replacing:
Flurry of Blows
Bonus Feats

Brawler Gets:
Brawler's Flurry
Bonus Combat Feats

Shield Champion requires replacing:
Maneuver Training

Monk Gets:
Maneuver Training

I imagine that the Monk's Maneuver training would be lost due to Shield Champion. But is it legal to take Master of Many Style and keep Brawler's Flurry since they are not named the same thing?

The same goes for the Bonus Combat Feats. Can the character keep the Bonus Combat Feats from Brawler?

Brawler
Shield Champion
Monk
Master of Many Styles

If you're multiclassing the two you only need to look at stuff in the class. the shield champion changes don't touch the monk stuff, and the master of many styles doesn't alter the brawler stuff any.

The two classes are compartmentalized. Something lost from one has no bearing on the other.

So you're saying that even though I gave up Maneuver Training from the Brawler, I would get it back by going Monk?

I know they are different, but they have the same name.

Yup, that how it works. That's why Going Sacred Fist Warpriest X MoMS 1 gives you the ability to dragon pummel with the flurry from warpriest. But it's also why they don't combine for Unarmed strike damage, or for their level going to feats.

Scarab Sages

They are not the same class feature even if they have the same name. Monk manuever training allows you to use your monk level in place of your bab on manuevers. Brawler manuever training is a static bonus to one type of manuever.

They are separated by class and do not interact. You give up brawler manuever training forever. You gain Monk manuever training.

Monk/Sacred Fist combine their levels for Unarmed damage but Brawler/Monk does not.

Monk/Sacred Fist combine their levels for Unarmed damage but Brawler/Monk does not.

And why do you say that?

Sacred Fist Unarmed Strike wrote:

At 1st level, a sacred fist gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. He uses his warpriest levels as monk levels for determining the amount of damage dealt with an unarmed strike.

This ability replaces focus weapon.

Brawler has it's own progression scale that does not reference Monk at all, or say it's levels stack. For the purposes of unarmed damage Sacred Fist levels are Monk levels.
