So I'm playing a cleric (Ch N, deity is Ch E) in a party with a witch, wizard, another cleric and two monks, one of which is feeling a bit overshadowed by the other one. The other monk player has very good system mastery and can accomplish the things he wants to do efficiently, but it's a bit more difficult for the less experienced friend.
Not that I can do a whole lot of difference advice-wise since I've never built a proper melee character, but what I can do is try to help out by buffing my buddy... And that's where I could use some advice, 'cause I'm still a bit new to clerics and their spells.
Friend is a medium tengu monk who likes to throw things and would if the opportunity presented itself pick up one guy and beat up another with it, though medium size makes it a bit tricky I suppose.
This is not for PFS, I'm not entirely sure how her build looks like in terms of scores and feats, just that she's got pretty good strength. And I'm not asking for just PF spells, if it's been published/it can be sourced, chances are good our DM will accept. So bring on 3.5 material and whatever else you can think of that might help me help my friend.

Oh darn, I should've remembered to at least mention that we're level 12 at this point. I recently switched my old character out for this cleric so that's why I'm still new to the class despite our high level.
Blessing of fervor is nice, I've used it on one or two occassions already and will readily agree that it's a very handy spell. I don't really like summoning though, as we're a pretty big party already and clerics of my god aren't really supposed to do that unless summoning their deity or his avatar or however that works, it was written for 2nd E. But yeah, I'd rather not start summoning unless it's absolutely necessary.

Right. If the monk doesn't have some form of flight, air walk or wind walk may be useful to them. Heroes feast is a minor buff but you can't argue with a 12 hpur duration.
Walls can corrall your enemies so you deal with them a few at a time rather than all at once.
Spit venom blinds an enemy, no save or SR for 1 round; the poison is irrelevant, get your monks to kill them while they're blind. Forbid action, greater, or Command, greater are fun battlefield control spells.
Greater dispel magic can be an amazing debuff against some enemies.
On defence freedom of movement, death ward and communal resist energy are spells to keep prepared.

A monk heh?
Well that's the thing tho, buff wise...blessing of fervor is frankly the best buff spell in the entire game. It doesn't get any better. Everything else higher level, is mostly just for you (Angelic aspect etc...).
Nearly all my higher level spells are battlefield control and summoning on my level 16 cleric...but well, if I wanted to buff a monk:
Fickle Winds : screw all the ranged attacks, it will protect you, your monk and your party.
Air Walk Communal: The monk being able to walk in the air would come in handy, as he can take advantage of his ridiculous land speed to reach any enemies.
Spell Immunity: If your wizard is the blasty kind, look for a spell that your wizard like to use often, let say fireball, make the monk immune to it with spell immunity, so he can keep fighting enemies surrounding him, while being blasted by the fireball for example and not suffer any effect from it.
Everything else like usual, Protection from Energy or Resist Energy depend of your situation, Protection from Evil etc...

Righteous Might would be fantastic for a maneuver monk thanks to the size increase... unfortunately it's a personal-range spell, like many of the cleric's best single-target buffs. Point for the Sacred Fist rebuild...
Greater Magic Weapon may be a good idea depending on whether it overlaps too much with an AoMF - it's often advisable to get only weapon qualities on the amulet and then increase your enhancement bonus with GMW.

First of all, I wanna thank everyone for your suggestions, I'll definitely take notes from this for future events.
Special thanks to Weirdo though for mentioning Righteous Might. Granted, it doesn't work easily, but it did get me remembering and tacking down a third party spell I'd seen called Body to Body, and our GM has, after me bringing it up with him, told me that it'd work, and that opens up a lot of possibilities for shenanigans down the road.
