I am planning an encounter with a Bodak that will probably be too tough for the party. I want it to be very very difficult, but I want to give them an edge in the form of items that leverage the Bodak's vulnerability to sunlight. Aside from a daylight spell, what spells and items can achieve this? Thanks!

It's a core magic item. There's a lesser version in a 3.5 module (
Expedition to Castle Ravenloft), but that's just a +1 bastard sword for 3000 that you can wield with shortsword profiency and the ability to upgrade it to normal.
Pallavi of Nirvana’s Blossoming is a Bardic Masterpiece that's equivlent to a 4th level bard spell and replicates real sunlight. It requires 3 rounds to start, but there's no way to scroll masterpieces.
One option would be to hand them a full power Sunblade, but have it exhaust its power during the battle and stick the party with the 3000 GP version afterwards.

If it's sunny outside but the encounter is inside, some means of opening up the battlefield to the outside would work.
Really though the danger of a bodak is its death gaze and many resisitances. If the party can get death ward and appropriate means of bypassing resistances (cold iron weapons and/or cold damage) a much lower level party could handle one. If they don't have at least death ward, a sunlight effect (which daylight isn't) may not make enough of a difference.

Instead of trying to make a customized low level sunblade, how about we use a preexisting property- Glorious
It is a +2 property...which means it is on a minimum of a +3 weapon (so 18,000 price tag). Now, that might sound like a bit much...but the weapon property does 2 things mainly- give sunlight and dazzle on a hit. Given that there is a feat that does the second part already (spear dancer)... not that amazing.
There is the bit about blinding on a crit...but weapon choice of a x2 weapon can solve that.
If we are really worried about the price...you could make it fragile. Make it break and make it lose its magical power if they roll a 1. That means they have to make a choice- just use it like a fancy torch, or use its nice ability at the risk of losing the thing entirely.
