Will Qinggong Monk ever be expanded?

I loved the Qinggong Monk when it first came out, but as more and more books are released it makes me sad that none of the new spells are ever added to the Qinggong's list.

Looking at the spells in ACG, we have Air Step, Blessed Fist, Blurred Movement, Heightened Awareness, Heightened Reflexed, Long Arm, Thunderstomp... all exceptionally Monk-esque abilities, moreso that many SLAs Qinggong actually has, but nothing is ever added to their list.

We need some monk love :(

Some new spells in the ARG(like the Oread spells) were made options for Qinggong Monks.

What I'd like to see is the Qinggong Monk concept expanded to other classes -- choose alternate class features a-la-carte.

What the archetype really needs is feat support to make up for the wonky way abilities are distributed throughout leveling, which is especially painful due to the ability selection lists not coordinating with selection levels at all.

"Extra Qinggong Power." Make it a thing, Paizo.

On top of that I can't really see why Wholeness of Body hasn't been changed. I forget if I've mentioned it before on these forums but I imagine that if I haven't someone else has pointed out the disparity. When you compare it to other ki powers it starts to look even more underwhelming than it already is. It's hard to imagine that if the Monk had been created at the same time of Ultimate Magic that Wholeness of Body wouldn't have been a casting of cure moderate wounds using the monk's level as caster level for the spell. Possibly even cure serious wounds considering it's a seventh level class feature at a cost two ki points. Does Paizo only ever errata things down when it comes to monks?

Huh, you're right. Oreads never interested me, but reading through their section now...

That's a very simple and easy way to add spells to the Qinggong list. Are those two Oread spells the only ones which were added though? I don't see any others in ARG anywhere.

Scarab Sages

There are some spells that were added to the list. However, they're not listed under the Qinggong archetype. You have to go find them, and they'll have a little listing that mentions:

"A Quinggong Monk may choose this power in place of X ability and it costs Y ki points", or something to that effect at least.

That being said, I'm pretty sure it's just those two that were added after the fact. I couldn't find any more the last time I checked, at any rate.

See Super Genius Games' Talented Class line. It does precisely that.

Honestly I would have loved to see the Qinggong's ability to be selected each day, or maybe even encounter rather then once and done.

That's basically the elevator pitch of my vainglory swashbuckler archetype, from Everyman Archetypes: Swashbuckler.

You basically get the ability to trade out deeds for certain feats whose benefits you can temporarily gain by spending panache.

While it will be 3PP, Rite Publishing Kaidan setting guide will include our versions of shinobi based characters for ninja, monk, sorcerer and ranger. Adding new Ki powers and ninja tricks will definitely be a part of that. I'm looking at a ranger that replaces his ranger spells with Ki or ninja tricks (haven't decided). So qinggong will have some more tools to work with. Of course, as stated, it is 3PP - and not released yet.
