Typically the recruitment thread is for gamemasters (also known as dungeonmasters or GMs or DMs) to post with a game idea and people come to their threads. Try looking through the recruitment page for some games that are looking for players.
Also, you're going to need a much more complete character sheet under your profile. You will need to include all of your stats and abilities in detail, as well as a backstory and personality. Here is an example, a human fighter by the name of Roran Strax.
Also, proper spelling and grammar is a big plus on the boards. Making sure your posts are neat and professional goes a long way here.
