is there a way besides hand of the mage to get mage hand at will as in my character has a tattoo on their arm and i was thinking was it possible to make a same type of item into a tattoo to continue the tattoo instead of having a hand on a necklace. i was thinking it would either cost the same or a couple hundred more maybe a couple thousand more since it wouldn't take up a slot.

You can convert any magical item from a slotted item to a slotless item by doubling the price. GM approval required, of course. The feat for creating magical tattoos explicitly just treats them as slotless items. Inscribe Magical Tattoo is the feat.

Dragonchess Player |

Dip two levels in alchemist to pick up the Vestigial Arm discovery, four levels for Explosive Missile; you can also use a mutagen to boost Dex. The Extra Discovery feat lets you pick up other damage types (Acid Bomb, Frost Bomb, and/or Shock Bomb).
Alternately, the vivisectionist archetype gives you Sneak Attack instead of bombs. Three levels of vivisectionist alchemist gives you +2d6.

Dragonchess Player |

As another option, dip one level in swashbuckler or slayer and take the feats Acrobatic and Kick Up.

Lich Bard |

You want mage hand at will? I guess you're not a spellcaster, because they get that.
Cloak of the hedge wizard gets you mage hand at will, among other things. Custom items should cost you (CL 1) if I recall right, 1000 (slotless)
To reload weapons, the conviniently named spell "reloading hands" should do the trick.

I didn't think the player wanted item-based solutions...otherwise I'd suggest the Hand of the Mage

Well he asked if there were any other items that did it that he could "maybe reslot into a tattoo". The gloves are another legit item that gives him the effect he wants (and then some).
Even if he doesn't decide to unslot it as a tattoo, there's a lot more stylistic leeway in making a pair of gloves look cool than there is having a severed hand hanging around your neck.

Well nothing wrong with reskinning it as a muppet stuffed hand either if you need it warm and fuzzy.
I made the suggestion because it provided a baseline for cost. And for all I know maybe he wants something a bit more macabre.
