Oladon,

On the Campaigns page, this extension shows three campaign wide, rather than all in a vertical column, which is great!

Question, how many characters wide before the title of the campaign line breaks? I have one that is 34 characters wide (with no line break) and one that is 36 characters wide (with line break).

It has got to be 35 or 36, right?

Sorry for the delayed response; just got back from vacation.

It actually depends on your window width; if you widen or shrink the window's horizontal size, you'll see the number of campaigns raise or lower, respectively. With that, the title width before it wraps is also tied into how many campaigns are being shown: if it's three, then each one is allowed to use up to 33% of the page width.

Hey Oladon,

Unfortunately, it looks like the latest Paizo Site changes broke your Paizo Campaign tools extension again.

I am using v2.5.3 on Chrome build 69.

Lesigh.

Thanks for the report — I'll see what I can do, though it likely won't be before this weekend.

Any more specific details people can share about what's broken/working would be awesome.

I'm also using v2.5.3 on Chrome. I don't use all the Paizo Campaign tools, but I noticed that campaign auto-arrange, highlight new posts, and auto-select alias tools aren't working.

I'm using Firefox 60.2.2esr (64-bit) and it is broken here.

Nothing works on the extension/add-on as far as I have been able to tell with my research.

+1

Guess the whole HTTTPS rework did throw the site layout off-course heavily.
Not even the addon-setting overlay appears in the campaign tab.

EDIT: It is defiantly the https rework. Manually going on http version will restore some of the functionality (alias sorting, campaign arrangement). Switching to its https version, removes everything.
- Default Alias Selector is broken in both versions.
- Setting Icon is missing in both.
- 'new' highlighting -> can't tell without new posts in my games.
- Need-to-Post -> symbol still there, can manually toggle and it gets the color, cannot tell if it works as intended due to missing posts in my games atm

Thanks, all. Will do my best to get it sorted this weekend.

The auto-arrange campaign, new post highlight, and need to post icon are still working as they did before the update for me - v2.5.3 on Chrome 69.0.3497.100. None of the alias things work though, nor does extended formatting or hiding the site header. Those are the only things that I use regularly, so I don't know if anything else works or not.

I'm curious when we might see support for this extension on mobile browsers? Posting from Android has sucked since the latest site changes.

caps, the extension is fully supported on mobile Firefox (available on Android). Other mobile browsers don't support extensions, which isn't something I can change, unfortunately.

New Version: 2.5.5

I've just released version 2.5.5; it's currently undergoing review, but should be available for both Chrome and Firefox soon.

There are two changes in this version:

1. Enables the extension to run on HTTPS Paizo pages. This will fix the issues many of you have been seeing since the latest site changes.
2. Adds the "header hider" functionality to every page (and reworks it a bit to make it better).

As always, please let me know if you run into any issues.

Awesome.
It's back!
Thanks a ton, Oladon.

Bloody awesome!!!!

Thanks Oladon.

Thanks Oladon

My PCT did not update automatically on Firefox, while I have updates set to On. Any idea why it did not update? I resorted to a deactivate and reinstall.

I've noticed that sometimes Firefox takes a while to "notice" that a new update is available. I think if you change the updates setting to "manual" it'll show you a button for "check for updates", and that might work.

Mine prompted that I needed to give permission before it could apply the update. Not sure what, if anything, I have enabled to cause that, but I'm not complaining.

I haven't confirmed that it's working yet, but I have faith.

Mine did not auto update, but I still was able to tell it to check for updates and then it worked properly.

This may be because with this update, the extension now runs on all Paizo pages, instead of just some.

The header hider appears to be doing a few wonky things on Firefox mobile — I'll look into it as soon as I can, but may not be before this weekend.

New Version: 2.5.6

New contributor to the project -- everyone say "thank you" to Wikwocket!

Changes in this version:

- Fixes the bug where the alias selector would override an alias selected before previewing (Thank you, Wikwocket!)
- Fixes the Header Hider on mobile
- Adds a new (optional, of course) button linking to your PM inbox when the header is collapsed. You can set it to show never, all the time, or only if you have new messages.

P.S. We could use some new screenshots for the extension listings. Would one or two of you be willing to take a few (1280x800) and send me the links and permission to use them?

Nice one lads!
You made the PMs working again!
Also: Hello & Thank you Wikwocket!

@Oladon: What exactly do you need?
Ah you mean a screen showing off the new layout of the site with some addon 'actions'?

Swordwhale wrote:

Precisely! All the screenshots I have up right now are of the old site, and they're missing some extension features.

@Oladon: I pm'ed you a gdrive link to four screens showing off those features I use and enjoy most.
Give me a heads-up what you think.
-> They are all done on a (slightly outdated) firefox.

Thanks, you guys!

Thank you Wikwocket and Oladon!

I had a weird bug today with the PM indicator with removed page header.
The red dot, that should be inside the neat post-icon, was somewhere towards the middle of my screen (such a tiny dot!) and so I didn't noticed until for two days, despite looking at the PM indicator a couple of times.

Maybe you want to check that out, maybe a goblin is sleeping in there...

Oladon, do you have any plans to bring the mobile extension to IOS?

Hmm, will definitely add it to my list... were you doing anything out of the ordinary, browser-wise? Different width, different browser, etc.?

EwokBanshee wrote:

Can't be done, unfortunately, short of actually writing a dedicated mobile application for it. Apple has decided that browser extensions shouldn't be supported on their platform. That said, a dedicated mobile application is on the list, but involves a non-trivial amount of effort and so is unlikely to happen any time soon.

Not that I am aware of.
Well, I am forced to use an slightly outdated firefox at work (v52.7.4)

Just as a note, the message notifier doesn't work on my mobile android (top-notch update) either.

New Version: 2.5.7

I've just released 2.5.7, which fixes the position of the PM notification dot. Version 2.5.7 should be available in both Chrome and Firefox soon.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Have installed this but even after fiddling with settings am not seeing any changes. Can anyone send me a screenshot of what it should look like? Am running latest version of Google Chrome with extension installed.

Hi Alexander,

Sorry for the delayed response — I've been traveling and not near a computer. Could you PM me a list of any other extensions you have installed, as well as your exact Chrome version and what extension settings you've enabled?

We'll troubleshoot from there via PMs.

Thanks!

Firefox News

Firefox seems to be randomly disabling the PCT add-on for people. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how to fix it if it happens to you -- one person had it happen and then it fixed itself a day or so later, so perhaps we'll see this resolve on its own soon.

Happened to me about an hour ago. It not only disabled PCT, but ALL extensions. I've switched over to Chrome as I kept Chrome and Firefox in sync with respect to extensions.

New Version: 2.6.0

I've just released* version 2.6.0 with the following changes:

- New feature: campaign sorting — includes saving and custom sort
- Fixes OOC styling on profile pages (Paizo's bug, my fix)

This release also includes some "behind the scenes" work intended to make things better, but it's possible a few bugs snuck in as well, so please let me know if you notice anything odd or broken.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

* The release is available in the Chrome store, and should be available in Firefox soon.

Thanks for the update Oladon!

Unfortunately I have noticed a couple of issues here:

  • It looks like on the Campaigns page loads all the campaigns are listed on a single column. You need to select the Sort By option in order to see the Campaigns organized correctly.
  • Also when you click on the Save (?) button next to the Sort By drop down menu, it reverts to Custom view. Is this intentional?
  • The Custom arrangement does not save when you reload the page. I have to re-arrange the order again.

I am using Chrome Version 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit). OS is Win 8.1.

  • Hmm, that's very odd indeed... particularly as that's the Chrome version I used for testing.

It looks like it's something to do with your campaigns page specifically — I'll look into it and see what there is to see!

    - Fixes campaign page arrangement & sorting for people with lots of campaigns (*coughEricSwansoncough*)

I'm on 2.7.0 now with Chrome Version 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit) and when I load the page it says "Sort by: Custom" but it is actually displayed by Default.

Then If i click the edit/save button it moves everything to my custom locations and saves it there. If i refresh, it reverts back to default while still saying "sort by: custom" and I have to click the edit/save button again to get everything in the proper spot.

Otherwise, very excited about this feature! Thank you!!

redeux: Are you clicking the checkmark (Save) button after you rearrange everything?

If so, could you send me a PM and we can continue troubleshooting there?

    Thanks!

In regards to Paizo campaign tools extension:

Anyone else noticing that the yellow highlights in the campaigns tabs have disappeared? I'm running 2.7.0 but it looks like the Paizo website is no longer jiving with some of the features...

GM PDK, could you PM me your browser version and the specifics of what you're experiencing? We can troubleshoot there. :)

    Oladon,

Mozilla seems to have changed it so that you can't download the Firefox extension on a different browser. I want to install it on a Firefox fork (Pale Moon). I know it works, because I have it running on another computer. Can you tell me where I can download the latest Firefox extension without needing to install Firefox to do so?
