TWF Warpriest advice?

Advice

Human Warpriest
STR 18
DEX 15
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 14
CHA 8

1: Two Weapon Fighting, Double Slice
2: [bonus] Weapon Focus (kukri)
3: Improved Initiative, [bonus] Dodge
4:
5: Dual Enhancement

I thought it would be a cool idea to capitalise on sacred weapon's damage by using a scimitar and kukri for all those sweet sweet crits.

I'd appreciate any advice on the attributes, feats and in particular the blessings as I'm unsure what to choose for those.

Cheers!

Considering the 3/4 BAB of the Warpriest, I think it might be a better idea to dual-wield Kukris to take maximum advantage of Weapon Focus. Since Warpriest increases the damage dice of the chosen weapon, there's no particular need to use the scimitar.

As far as blessings, Destruction is a must-have for TWF Warpriests imho, as you get a lot of benefit from the +1/2 level to damage when you're making more attacks than normal.

Finally, remember that the Warpriest bonus feats count as though you're full-BAB, which means you could take Improved TWF at 6 using your Warpriest bonus feat for more attacks, and Improved Critical (Kukri) at level 9.

Dual enhancement isn't that good depending on how your group runs it. By RAW you get the second weapon at potentially lower power but lose rounds as if you had two full uses. And the nature of movement and full attacks means you should probably wait till the second round to enhance your second weapon anyway. It's not as if you have pounce.

Thanks a lot! I'll definitely choose the Destruction blessing and be a worshiper of Ragathiel. I was thinking the Nobility blessing also, to give some out of combat utility despite my charisma score.

Great suggestion for the kukris, I think I liked the image of the scimitar and just forgot about the strictly better double kukri option.

Cheers, Melkiador, I'll have a closer look at that.

You could take 1 level in swashbuckler to be able to get DEX to damamge with your chosen weapon. By RAW, the only good candidate is the sawtooth saber. You may want to consider the Mantis Zealot archetype for this reason.

Does anyone have a good Warpriest shield bashing build? I feel like sacred weapon on a shield would make a very potent option.

I've tried making a shield build work for warpriest, but it's always a bit wonky feeling. You need two weapon fighting for Shield Master, so you will want to either dual shield or enchant your shield as a weapon instead of as armor.

I've really been wanting to make a Shield Saint archetype for the warpriest. I've been reading too much "Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari" lately. Sadly, no class in the game is really meant to be a Shield Hero at this point in time. Some come close, but none really get there.

If you have the travel blessing and quicken blessing, you do at level 10.

Can you use Destruction on yourself? When reading it, I thought you could only give the bonus to an ally:

Destructive Attacks (minor): At 1st level, you can touch an ally and bless it with the power of destruction. For 1 minute, the ally gains a morale bonus on weapon damage rolls equal to half your level (minimum 1).

Just making sure I didn't miss something.....

You can count yourself as an ally.

This was a necro, so Imbicatus may not think this anymore, but the travel blessing uses a move action and quicken blessing works on standard actions. So the combination is questionable.

I'd add either the Outflank or Seize the Moment feats, which grant Attacks of Opportunity on every Crit. Divine Strategists have the Tactician Ability like Cavaliers do.

This might go without saying, but Crit Focus and maybe some of those evil Crit Feats like Bleeding Critical.

I was thinking that a Bashing Shield and Sacred Weapon would just be the bee's knees. I really like the idea of Shield Slam and Greater Bull Rush with at least 3 levels in Warpriest, Divine Stratest, you can have the benefit of Paired Opportunist and get an Attack of Opportunity when you give your friends one with GBR. Make your Attack of Opportunity another Shield Slam, and keep the party going!

Lol .... doh! It's all in the wording!

Thanks for clearing that up.
