What did you run for your 100th table?

(aka Fishing for Suggestions)

It took nearly a full year, but I'm getting close to the 4 star mark. Honestly, I set out with the goal of being a 3 star by next PaizoCon because I thought it would look good on record if I volunteered to GM this coming year.

Needless to say, I've shattered my own expectations. Table #98 is today which is being run locally. After that, I've nothing planned. I thought about running a module for the last two credits to 100. I'm kind of looking for something a little on the "epic" side though.

So what did you run for table #100?

5/5

Mine was Among the Living, 0-07, in the first slot of GenCon '13...players didn't show up till about 20 after slot time started, but table was a blast. There were a couple of new players and everyone was playing brand new characters (they were all friends traveling together for the con).

I spent the whole weekend running nothing but the Among the X series that year...good times.

I'd choose something you REALLY like to run and get into roleplaying wise if you would like to make it stand out in your mind later on though.

5/5 **

I ran Academy of Secrets for my 100th game. I made individualized handouts for each of the players and had a blast with it.

5/5

Wow - congratulations Tsriel!

All my star tables have been at PaizoCon, with #4 at PaizoCon 2013 (The Secrets Stones Keep).

I'd definitely suggest running something new (so everyone is as spoiler free as possible), or something really big, like Portal of the Sacred Rune or The Waking Rune.

Or if exceptionally convenient, you could kick off a round of Eyes of the Ten.

I GM'ed my first PFS table at Gencon 2009, and I'm only now closing in on 3 stars. How do you guys do it? :P

By not GMing at conventions only. ~_^

In all honesty, I started with some local friends who were kind enough to humor me although none of them really like PFS much. Then I took the show to the internet to start running games online once I found PFS games locally but really needed to catch up. I'd say that it wasn't until July when I could finally squeeze myself in to run games locally. The conjunction of hosting locally and online really sped up the process.

I'm only twice as fast as you are, and there was a bit of "pushing to make it" for the 3rd and 4th stars. 3 stars since GenCon '09 is running just about one session per month. I've run twice that, but I've only run about that many distinct scenarios.

Tsriel running an average of two per week? Yow!

Majuba wrote:

Heh heh, yeah, that sounds about right. A good chunk of credit is from modules, but there were some weeks where I was running around 3-4 sessions mixed between online and local play.

I love this ruleset, but I'm definitely going to slow way down in the coming months. XD

The Exchange 5/5

Mine was Waking Rune (hard mode) at PlayonCon 2014. It was a fantastic experience with some fantastic players.

Now I just have to figure out how to make #150 something special. The way things are looking, it might pop at GenCon 2015, which would be kind of cool.

Scarab Sages 5/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I ran We Be Golbins, Too! and it was a blast.

I'm running my 5th star game this weekend, and it's going to be Encounter at the Drowning Stones. It's fairly simple, but I'm hopeful that it will showcase some of my skills.

Grand Lodge 4/5

I am at 98 tables credit right now, as well, and looking at Silverhex Chronicles for #99, if the local scene winds up showing up. Tried this past Saturday, but no one came. Then again, it is the slow season, we haven't, apparently, had any PFS going for a while, so I am not holding high hopes to get the local scene running quickly.Last time this happened, it wasn't until March that PFS started up again.

Ah, well, there is always online...

Grand Lodge 5/5

I ran Day of the Demon (the current 4-star Special at the time) at Cape Comic Con. We had a great time, even the player whose character I killed. ;)

Grand Lodge 4/5

I had intended for Silent Tide to be my 100th table, but due to needing a GM at the game day the weekend before, it ended up being my 101st. So Black Waters turned out to be my 100th.

Here is my complete list, along with other peoples responses.

Grand Lodge 5/5

We Be Goblins (#100 and #101).

When I actually count sessions instead of table credits, my 100th was 6-01 Trial By Machine.

Sovereign Court 4/5 ** Venture-Agent, Indiana—Valparaiso

I purposefully arranged thing so that my 100th table was running Siege of the Diamond City. I ran the only Sub Tier 10-11 table.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Just checked my physical sessions, and my actual 100th table was Library of the Lion. (Which I think may have been the first table of it run outside of Paizo play tests, since I downloaded and ran it the same night it released.)

My 150th session was The Pallid Plague.

4/5 ****

My 100th Session was The Waking Rune (Hard Mode).

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 ***

Pathfinder Starfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

Looks like my 100th table was God's Market Gamble.

Tomb Of Horrors Boxed Set! 3/5 players even survived!!!

I know I'm not a member...but responded in the spirit of Pathfinding.

Sovereign Court 5/5

I ran city of gold. reqd all players to be least 5th lvl for it. was a tough scenario but they all seemed to enjoy it.

I did mine about a week ago.

I ran a Beginner Box session -- it's what I started with, so I got the chance to introduce a table of 12-13 year olds to the hobby 100 tables later. :D

Update: Silverhex Chronicles, Nov. 15th: No players

Silverhex Chronicles, Nov. 22nd: 2 players, no legal table, we moved over and played board games
Emerald Spire: Tower Ruins, Nov. 29th: 7 players, overall success, but one fatality, the Wizard who moved in too close and tried to cast Sleep.

He would have probably survived, despite being at negative 6, but the <redacted> <redacted>, with him in the area of effect, and, even with a reroll, he failed the Reflex save, and took 7 points of damage, knocking him past neg. Con. Collateral damage sucks, and, given the configuration of the encounter, and everyone's placements, I had no way to get him out of the area of effect.

On PC death:
As a GM, I think I don't like killing PCs, especially when it is almost incidentally like this, because I feel like that is a failure in running an entertaining game.

4/5

Congrats on your 4th Kinevon.

I hate deaths like that too. Unfortunately, collateral damage kinda goes with the MO of being a Pathfinder, except in situations where you're told to not break something. Even then, it's abit iffy.

I'm running #100 next week for the local group, letting the table give me their suggestions. Its looking like a higher level module for right now. ^_^

Grand Lodge 4/5

I ran Confirmation for my 100th. Also congrats in advance Fox!

Sovereign Court 4/5

By my calculations, this PbP for Murder's Mark will be #99-100. However, I am still waiting on two local games to be reported. One from October (for which the sign-in sheet has been passed around like a collection plate on its journey to whoever is going to record it) and one from last night (which was day 2 of a three-day mini-con, so naturally it may take a bit for that to find its way into the system). That said...

4th star before the end of the year!

Scarab Sages 4/5 RPG Superstar 2015 Top 16

My 100th (and 101st) table was Risen from the Sands which is appropriate given how much I like Osirion/Egyptian stuff.

Btw Sior, I will finish reporting Con of the Wes tables tonight when I get home from work.

Sovereign Court 4/5

No rush, Russ. That was a mondo filled weekend of fun.

Also, my calculations have altered somewhat. Unless Murder's Mark finishes this week, my #99-100 will be a level of Thornkeep which a player requested to play before he GM's them.

4/5

Mine was The Beggar's Pearl. It was supposed to be something more epic, but they needed a GM so I decided to give them one. Given that I often sign up to GM at the last minute when people have had trouble finding a GM, it seemed appropriate.

Turned out to be a fun table regardless.

What could be more epic than dungeons, dancing, drugs, dwarves, and terror? I've only run that scenario once...but the story is AWESOME (IMNSHO), and the run through was a blast.

Grand Lodge 5/5 *

My 100th, I think, was The Beacon Below... it would have been Legacy of the Stonelords, but I was the PFS convention coordinator (for Council of Five Nations) and took up the Overseer role instead of running a table. It's always nice hitting a milestone at your own convention...

You do know that the Overseer GM for the multi-table Specials gets reported as GMing a table with no players on it?

Dark Archive 4/5 5/5 ****

I am hoping that my 100th table will be The Wounded Wisp at Con of the North (final table of the Con... Sunday, Feb 15). That will require me finding 5 more tables to run (other than what I have scheduled, etc).

Gonna be a little rough, but I think I can pull it out. (Silbeg dusts off We Be Goblins)

I was in fact NOT aware of that... thank you for letting me know. Must go add that to the reporting...

Don't get me wrong; it's a good scenario. I think the other one I was going to GM as my 100th was Assault on the Wound.

Assault on the Wound:
Which, by the way, was probably one of my favorite tables to GM. My party and I LOVED the mass combat portion of it. But my favorite tables to GM are ones with minigames, and it's usually the ones I put the most effort into so there's no surprise there.

Sovereign Court 4/5

Mine was last weekend, when we held a small convention that consisted of only bad scenarios. My #100 table was most presumably Many Fortune of Grandmaster Torch, or a filler Silverhex Chronicles (and only the Mausoleum part of it; had to run it while waiting for one player to show up).

Then again I've ran several quicksteps (First Steps with no roleplaying and minimal describing), so there's still some distance to a proper #100.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/5 **

I'm on 99. Looks like 100 is going to be Year of the Shadow Lodge this weekend.

Sovereign Court 4/5

Technically, it was Murder's Mark via PbP. But due to a reporting snaffu, it didn't record until after Thornkeep: The Forgotten Laboratory. Was a good run!

Grand Lodge 5/5

Late to the party here, but I did We Be Goblins 2, with a great group of people! So it was my 100th and 101st table!

Then the following day my VL status went through, so the extra scenarios for 4 star became moot. Though I earned them first!

4/5

I'll be running No Response from Deepmar, which was one of the suggestions/requests that was sent to me. Gotta admit, I'm crushing a little on it. I love sandbox setups. The whole thing starts this coming Monday, so stoked for it.

5/5

I ran Wounded Wisp as my 100th game yesterday. Fun was had, discoveries were made.

Liberty's Edge 4/5 *

My 100th table (as far as Paizo knows) was 6-01: Trial By Machine, my final table at Gen Con last year.

It took a month, but its done. ^_^

Onward to #5?

Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment was my #150.... just waiting for the last nine tables of the con to be reported.

No, I'm totally not hitting refresh on my reporting page, why do you ask?

:D

Ok, it is official now. My 100th table (credit) was running Legacy of the Stonelords (at 10-11). An epic table!

I ran Requiem for the Red Raven for my 60th table... now I need to come up with something epic for my 150th (in a year).

I officially hit 100 "tables" with the last chapter of thornkeep. I've run a lot of modules however, I've only actually run 93 sessions.

Bonekeep marathon?

A slight derail, but I did just that (run Bonekeep 1 2 and 3) in the same day at Totalcon recently. THAT was an exhilarating experience. The Bonekeep 2 table will be talked about for years to come at that convention.... *grin*
