You're... going to tell us about the new Iconics... right?

Occult Adventures Playtest General Discussion

Each new class brings a new Iconic character to the table, so I hope that Paizo makes short backstories for the new Iconics, on this site ^_^

Probably not until closer to release. They like to use them as teasers to build hype.

Better there than never though ^_^

Ever since I got hooked by the comics, I've been itching to learn more about the Iconics.

Erik Mona teased a little bit about the iconics in another thread (or hinted, as you please). I'd imagine they're a ways away, though- probably in the weeks leading up to the release, like they did with the ACG (or possibly even earlier, if they include them in the Free RPG Day module like they did with the Warpriest and Swashbuckler).

James Jacobs has also noted that the big "psychic magic" locations of Golarion are the Darklands, Vudra, and Castrovel. Castrovel is probably out (unless they give us another elf iconic, which is a possibility as I assume they'll stick with the Core races, but one who emigrated from Castrovel to Golarion). I would certainly expect to see a Vudran iconic, and a Darklands one as well- probably either a dwarf or a half-orc.

I'd like to see a gnome with closer than usual ties to the First World, but it sounds like there isn't going to be any First World connection in OA (which is somewhat understandable from the perspective that this is supposed to be more world neutral, and First World is a Golarion thing, but it also sounds like the developers don't consider fey as being closely linked to occult themes.)
