My party is useless and I have to kill a queen in a fairly easy to infiltrate castle full of elf guards. After my last character died, I'm getting to make a new lvl 9 character with leadership. He will have a lvl 7 follower who then has a lvl 5 follower. What do these characters need to be in order to kill this queen? I like barbarians, but am willing to branch out for maximum elf murdering potential.

I like the idea of grabbing a shadow dancer for this. Not as the main one, the lvl 7 guy.
If you manage to level up once before the actual hit (assuming the level 7 guy), having the shadow as a tag along seems like it would have great utility, since it has good stealth and it can pass through walls, which means it can scout and escape fairly easily.
Plus, its primary form of attack is via lethal strength damage... not saying that elf guards can't be buff (heck, that is the position most likely to have the elves that get put into swimsuit calendars), but I think your GM might let them fall into stereotypes and make them more DEX based with bows, rapiers, and elven curved blades. Ergo, they are very vulnerable to strength damage.
Anyway, the shadow dancer itself has the various obvious bits of utility with stealth. It is not to hard to make it useful in melee combat if you use something strong as a base, such as ranger or slayer.

a 9th level skald, with the leadership feat and barbarians as the followers.
you can use your rage song and they can use their own rage stats.get skalds vigor and greater skalds vigor and you can also give everyone fast healing.
there's so much rage going on, it's never off.
sounds like fun to me.

Skald rage and barb rage doesnt stack, not much sense in that other then rage powers which isnt a good reason to spend 9 levels of a character.

Three?
Oh god the sexy
Get that drow noble monk with the moonlight stalker feats and nightmare weaver, A tiefling rogue or ninja, and a fetching summoner.
Then just like.... Revel in darkness. Run around being all shadey and stuff, noone will find you and when they do they'll be blind and you'll be winning hard.
And the idea of the three of them working together actually makes sense in lore
Fetchling entry states a respect and mutual interest with drow, Tieflings are basically demons, drow work with demons, fetchlings have varying alignments which means he can be evil.
That's how you get killy, oh so killy, you'll feel killy and willy and.... well the last part is up to you.

You're not understanding,
The barbarian can rage using the skalds rage rounds. So If the skald uses his song, every allied barbarian can use HIS own stats for the rage, without fatigue, only draw back is the barbarians can't use their own rage powers.
Once the skald is out of rage song, they can THEN use their OWN rage rounds…which way way way extends their rounds of rage usable, especially with multiple barbarians.
Since the skald rage doesn't cause fatigue, then picking the right rage powers, you can rage cycle very nicely.

However, the skald can't share any rage power with a limited number of use per rage. So, no free rage cycling here.
If a rage power can only be used a certain number of times per day or per rage (such as renewed vigor), each ally affected by the inspired rage song is subject to that limit (with once per rage abilities limited to once per inspired rage).
IT would appear you're wrong…. I think you're thinking of rage powers that use multiple roudns of rage or a standard action to work.

I feel like a necromancer of any type could make a good run at this with a few incorporeal undead. Most of the guards would be shadows pretty quickly.
Cleric would give you protection from the uncontrolled undead if stuff goes bad. Wizard would get you in and out effortlessly and get you started on the shadow train.
