Gauging Interest in a Guide to Druid / Monk Multiclassing.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Troy Mc... I mean Prototype00 and you might know me from such threads as "Way of the Angry Bear: Bear Fisted Fighting", "Way of the Angry Bear II: Is that Allosaurus doing Tai Chi?" and "The Conqueror Ooze".

But those were all build threads, and I was wondering if people would be interested in a guide to the process of dealing 12d8 - 14d8 damage with your unarmed strikes and biting people's heads off in the process?

I gather there is some opposition to the dilution of the awesome of the Druid with the supposed suck of the monk, but I believe this is a combination where the total is definitely more than the sum of its parts.

What do you guys think? Should I start drafting?

Silver Crusade

Yes please.

This would be so very helpful! I'm currently playing a Druid / Monk in a Pathfinder game. Although my build is pretty different from yours, your posts have been a great inspiration for me.

I appreciate your enthusiasm Dinosaur!

Though it does seem that there are only a few of you who wanted a guide.

Ah heck, I've been meaning to do it anyway, and I've got a couple of hours of plane journeying ahead of me, so might as well fill them with something.

Please do it!

There's some pretty cool stuff you can do with Monk/Druid, most of them revolving around Feral Combat Training.

I would also enjoy seeing a guide or consolidation of information regarding these two classes combined, especially considering how mechanically complex the combo can be.

I vote yes!

Scarab Sages

Yeah, I'd love to see what you have, I love your builds.

Shadow Lodge

Including this one.

I would also vote yes. I have tracked down a number of your threads, but it takes a bit of work to figure out how your builds have evolved from other threads. You have some really interesting build ideas and I'd love to see them all in a single post.

I'd appreciate it as well. My rotrl character could use a little more guidance on feat choice in the teens.

Monk is really good, I just don't think it's as suited for PFS as the other classes. Then again, I also like fighter and rogue (if only the talents were better than feats or at least equal).

I would love to see Dinosaurusukan Karate, or perhaps Eagle Grappling Claws Style.

How about a Triceratop Tetori?

Yes please :-D

Dark Archive

Count me in as wanting to see this =D

It would be a brilliant guide. Though whilst you have a few builds that are excellent (with no other words to ascribe (ok, maybe excellently ridiculous)), I would be a major advocate of a section that describes more generalities in the builds.
I.e How the size fits in, feral combat training, armouring yourself, combat manoeuvres, pounce, etc. I would expect that may already be in the plan but I think it worth mentioning.

Edit: A few? I'm being too conservative. There's plenty. And I may be pushing for too many disparate points to be made.
