Just a bit ago, on Facebook, an old friend of mine and Fraternity Brother was tagged in a photo with another Fraternity Brother. They were attending their 25th highschool reunion. Hadn't seen either of them in forever. In fact, last time I spoke to my good friend was shortly after my boy was born.
Sad. I miss my friend. Here's hoping this leads to getting back in touch with him.

I was recently made aware the hydraulic portion of my project needs some added filters and instruments. The Shell people were supposed to mark up those drawings appropriately, yet they did not. Somehow, though, I have a feeling my company is going to get the blame entirely. That seems to be the way the Shell project engineer works.

Short day today. The company gives Good Friday as a paid holiday. Since my Friday's are (per one of three allowed work schedules) always four-hour days, and we get 8 hours of holiday leave, I get to use 4 hours tomorrow, and 4 today. So my typical 9-hour Thursday turns into a 5-hour Thursday.

Long day. Got up at 0315, packed up the car and kids, and drove in to NOLA for the Easter weekend. At least, in leaving that early, we avoided all the tons of traffic.
My younger brother and his family are already here. Brother number three and his family are probably here by now...
Already visited and had lunch with my mom. She's getting by ok. I can see she's still getting used to the new normal of not having dad around.

Yep. I have my hip waders on and a clothespin on my nose. I'm just hoping the river of s#+! that is my life doesn't go over my head.
One thing I am happy about. My RPG collection is worth some money (well...parts of it at least)

My poor baby girl has hand, foot, and mouth disease. Sad. Here's hoping she starts to feel better today.
The wife stayed home with her for this second day. I shall offer to replace her tomorrow, if we still need to keep her home by then.
Hell, I may even try to take off a bit early today, just to give her a break.
