In other news, I see many people are criticizing the Academy Awards for adding that new "Popular Movie" category. I think the hullaballoo is interesting because (a) it seems there are still people not part of the Hollywood machine who actually care about awards shows, and (b) these same people seem to think the Academy decision makers actually give a flying f#$~ about what they think.
When it comes to movies, I only truly care about one thing - Did it entertain me? After that, I care if it was successful enough to open the way for a sequel. After that, I care if it's true to any source material.

Got a call from my boss yesterday. He asked for the contact information for our client, because the initial funding had run out and he needed to see about getting more.
I was really hoping the client would decide not to continue this arrangement, and I'd get to go back to the office and do something not useless. No such luck.
Now I'm here until at least the end of August.

This morning, as I was driving the kids to daycare, the boy said "Daddy, there's something on your antenna." I look over, and there was a big ass preying mantis clinging desperately to my antenna. The wind from the car moving was in the process of dislodging him, which it did a few seconds later.
I hope it's ok.

No worries on Spider-man. He'll definitely be back, since they already have his next movie (with Tom Holland) scheduled (and maybe even filming, I think). And I think Marvel has him contracted for at least a 5-6 picture deal.
Gamora should be back. I believe she was still set to be in the third Guardians of the Galaxy movie. After that, it might be more up in the air, since her contract could be running out, and the actress might be hesitant to make a new one.

I'M a comic book guy! Why don't you ask me?!!
Probably because I'm more lovable.
Sure. Thats it.
Zombies are always more lovable. ;P
It's the eternal smile,... as they reach for your "BRAAAAAIIIIIINSSSSS"
EDIT-
Fortunately, we need fear no actual zombiepocalypse.
As everyone knows, Zombies eat brains.
And as Aberzombie's posts have proven, time and time again,...
Most of the people that we have to deal with are, truly, brainless.

Either tonight or tomorrow, I have to attend a parent meeting at the church. This is an informational meeting for all the parent's whose kids will be in Faith Formation this year. The boy is enrolled, and should make his First Communion sometime next Spring.
I'm not a big fan of these meetings, however, as the old lady who runs them seems to think she's a priest, often giving a 10-15 minute homily at the beginning.

I also must not forget the boy has a birthday party to attend. It's for one of the other kids in the cub scout troop. He's a year older than Charlie, but they've had numerous chances to hang out, and seem to get along well together. The other boy's dad and grandmother are both leaders in the pack, and I work with the dad on organizing Pinewood Derby.

Ye gods, I hate coming to this fab yard. Thankfully, the end is potentially in sight. I'm funded to be here through next Friday. The Hopefully, the client company will not request I continue on the project.
The first unit I've been overseeing is close to being finished. The second unit...well, they've at least set the two skids next to each other...but that's about it.

Of course, neither the fabricators or client give two craps about how these delays are screwing me over.
Normally, when working somewhere other than the office, we are compensated for the difference in mileage to that of our normal commute. However, the client and my company each asked if I would be willing to eat that cost myself, since the duration of the project was supposed to be short, only 6-8 weeks.
Now, here we are on week 12-1/2.
