Since I don't really game any more, I'm debating getting rid of most of my gaming books. I just have to figure out the best way to do that.
I can't give them to my younger brother. He has some of the books already. Besides, he's moved on to a 5th edition family game with his family.
And I don't really feel like trying to sell them online, since that would require some effort on my part, regarding packaging and shipping things.
I almost feel like my best bet would be to bring everything over to Half-Priced Books. I might not get a whole lot for them, but I'd at least get something.

Today's debate:
The wife and I signed up for Parent's Night Out with the daycare. We can drop the beastly things off as early as 6:30, and are planning to see a movie. And that's where the quandary comes in.
We don't want to stay out too late, as the aforementioned beastly things have swim practice tomorrow morning. We can finally go see Avengers: Infinity War, which starts at 7:10. Accounting for trailers, that would probably get us out just before 10 pm. We would, however, probably not have time to eat dinner. On the other hand, we could see Deadpool 2, which starts at 8:10. Again accounting for trailers, we would definitely be in the theater until after 10:10. However, dinner would be an option.
Honestly, I suppose I'm good either way. Both are movies I have yet to see, but want to. And if I don't get to do dinner, that's why God created very large popcorns.

Today's other debate is how to occupy my time here at work. Things are rather....slow....at the moment. I'm waiting on components of package #1 to finish at the paint shop. Then they can be sipped back to this facility for assembly. Package #2's components are still being fabricated (for the most part). Then they have to go through NDE and hydro testing, then painting, then assembly.
I suppose I could try to finish finding those electrical components the client wants located. I've not been getting a lot of help from the fabrication shop on that, however. And to look for them myself would be like finding a needle in an 80K square foot haystack.

My dentist's father passed away last night. Very sad to hear, but it was my understanding he had been suffering for a long time. So maybe it was for the best.
Anyway, they asked if I would be okay with rescheduling the appointment I was supposed to have today. Of course I said "yes". Barring a true emergency, what kind of selfish dick cheese would say "no"?

There's a young lady working here at this fabrication yard, whose shirt I would like to get a better look at. It was some sort of (possibly) kick ass looking Batman shirt. I noticed it in passing. The Bat symbol always jumps out at you.
Finding a way to do that without looking like you're ogling is the challenge. How ya' been Zombie?

It never helps that, on occasion, we do ogle.
As for how I've been - thankfully employed, constantly busy, yet bored out of my mind, and (most recently) in near constant pain of varying intensity.

Today is a mix so far....
Woke up with a bit of a hangover. Spilled a bit of my coffee. Crappy traffic situation delayed me 15 minutes. Got to work to find (surprise, surprise) the fab yard did not have enough components back from the paint yard to start assembly of unit 1.
And yet.....
Heard from one of my fraternity brothers the new CF drug he's taking is working great, and that his lung capacity is up to 54%. There was other good news that shall remain nameless due to messageboard rules. Got to see the Power Man and Iron Fist episode of Luke Cage last night. I have coffee. And it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

And, of course, the company I currently find myself working alongside did not get started with assembling the first of the client's two units yesterday.
Can't say I'm surprised. To say the people here are incompentent when it comes to scheduling work would actually be kind. What's even worse is they don't seem to care.

Ye gods! It's a miracle!!!
When I left work late Friday afternoon, they had only brought the refrigeration skid over from the paint shop, and that was left sitting on a flatbed in their yard.
Today, I arrived to discover they had brought over the process skid, all the piping, the lower part of one of the pressure vessels, a pair of pumps and some peripheral stuff. It's enough to get started on assembly!!!
Granted, assembly was supposed to start last Thursday. I also sincerely doubt they'll get it started today. who knows, though, (additional) miracles can sometimes happen.

I actually find myself with mixed feelings about tomorrow. Both the fabrication yard I've been working out of, and my own company, are closed for the holiday.
Which means I won't have to come to this place, or even leave my house.
Which, unfortunately, also means I'm not getting paid.
Stoopid contract work.

Watching those Spider Man movies made me realize - Of all superheroes to get their own movies, I think Spider Man is right up there with Batman when it comes to the number of different villains he's had in his films:
Spider Man:
Green Goblin (Norman and Harry versions)
Doctor Octopus
Symbiote/Venom
Sandman
Lizard
Electro
Rhino
Vulture
Batman:
Joker
Penguin
Catwoman
Riddler
Two-Face
Poison Ivy
Mr. Freeze
Ra's Al Ghul
Bane
Really, I guess it depends on how you split things out. If you count the different versions of Green Goblin as separate, or if you treat the symbiote and Venom as two distinct villains, Spidey might take the lead.

It's always bugged me that more classic villains aren't used, although this is changing. Superman movies were always the most guilty. There are so many awesome villains who remain unused. They've done Lex Luthor to death. They've done Zod twice. There's a big list of "haven't used": Brainiac, Parasite, Mister Mxyzptlk, Bizzaro, Metallo, Intergang, Toyman, Ultra-Humanite.
They could even combine some of those. Like Intergang trying to find an edge over Supes and they end up creating Parasite.
