EE Account with Destiny's Twin up for grabs

Hi there, I put in a pledge of $100 at the last Kickstarter and obtained the Pioneer pack. This means that I also have Destiny's Twin, Alliance Pack, Character Pack, four months game time etc.

I have been watching the discussions for many months, even putting my head above the parapet a few times, and my hopes for the game, that I am looking for, have risen and fallen like the tides. In the present incarnation of EE, it would be a total waste of time for me as I have no interest in capping towers. Also, living in Europe, I would probably miss most of the windows even if I was interested.

I did understand that there would be PVP in the world but I did not think that it would be so huge a component. I even went back and had a look at the Kickstarter page and watched the video again; this is where most of it is taken up with a party attacking a goblin temple - with only a few seconds showing a siege engine destroying a tower. I would love to play in a living evolving world where I wasn't some avatar or hero destined to save the world - but in its current incarnation and for the foreseeable future, I fear that this is not the place for me. Maybe I will have another look closer to OE.

I have played on PVP servers before and know what is involved; but, my manual dexterity is not what it was and I would just be a free kill and a liability for any company that I joined. I did think of, and was interested in, being a dedicated crafter but the opinion was that this would be some sort of a lesser character - as opined historically as well as recently in some threads.

So, I am giving someone the opportunity to take over my account and benefit from the software and in game benefits (the Paizo downloads and miniatures, I am adding to my fantasy library).

At present, apart from my Goblinworks account saying that I am signed up for EE, it does not appear to say much else (unless I am missing something) and so it is difficult to prove my status. If you are interested then send me a message. I am going to be away on business for a few days and so will not be able get back to you immediately.

Good luck to you all in your empire building.

Before you sell your account, remember the War of the Towers is only temporary and will most likely only last a few months. You also don't have to open up your account right away. You could wait until the WotT scenario is over before activating your account.

You can activate your time any time you want, I would suggest just keeping your account and waiting to check the game out later. That way you don't have to pay again to purchase the game.

If you were planning on the crafting/socializing part of the game you can start that even before the towers go up. You could even stay in Thornkeep to train, craft, and sell so it doesn't even matter to you who has what towers and the wardens are always prohibiting pvp for a few hundred square hectares (thousand? metric! but a lot) around while you work.

If you wanted the PvE game, then the above advice is good to wait a while. But you were interested in Pathfinder as a MMO so, to me, since you'll always be able to sell a DT account it seems like a good idea to wait and see what the game is, rather than what it's imagined to be in text posts, especially temporary scaffolding while the real game continues to get built.

Not to mention that the farther along we get (and especially if you wait until OE) the more you'll be able to sell your DT-carrying account for.

Seriously, that DT will be worth real money in the future. I would hold onto it. Or sell it to Morbis.

Whether you sell it to Morbis or not, don't let it go for much less than the Hundred you put in. I'm betting that you can get that much now, maybe even more.

Keep in mind that gear does not drop from critters and most likely will only be available from npc's as newbie (worthless) quality.

Everything a character needs will most likely be player crafted and ALL of the BEST gear will ONLY be player crafted unlike most games where player crafted stuff is 2nd tier and the best stuff drops from mobs.

As such historically based opinions are kaka and anyone that thinks a dedicated crafter is a 2nd class citizen does not have a good grasp of the design intent of the system, how gear, consumables, buildings and pretty much every single thing they need to play there pvp game is going to be acquired in the game.

Before you give up and sell you might want to drop by one of the crafting focused organizations like Keepers of the Circle (shameless plug) and look into it a bit.

I'll buy it from you as well.

Just keep the account, if all else fails, you can always use your time after the towers game has been removed. Also, crafting will be very important, and someone who specializes in it will be a boon for any settlement. I don't think it's going to be a minor role, just less popular because most people would rather go out ando some killing.

European time zone? No problem, you won't be alone... GMT+1 here. Actually, that's probably an advantage if you want to avoid the PvP-windows during the Towers game.

Just ask any of the decently-sized settlements (personally, I like Talonguard, and I think they would work well for you, but there are likely others who are also supportive of your style of play). They will be willing to accept you with open arms, even if you don't want to be involved in the towers game at all, I promise. And you are still going to be able to play a very enjoyable game without much hack-and-slash action.

Hi there, I would like you all to know that the account has now gone; I have replied to all who PM'ed me. I would like to thank you for your interest and I am glad that the account has gone who would make better/more use of it than me.

I will continue to watch the PFO from the shadows and maybe it will turn out to be the game that I am looking for and so it is possible that one day you might buy a sword from me. But, until that date - I wish you all good luck with your endeavours in the River Kingdoms
