Cool Maps.

Goblin Squad Member

1) In some cases you use the Settlement name, in others the name of one of the Companies resident in the Settlement. What's the meaning of the difference?

2) Hope's End and Golgotha are both Lawful Evil, but one is bold-faced and the other isn't. The same's true for Canis Castrum (Reading Between the Lines), Terra Australis Incognito, and the rest of the Lawful Neutrals. What's the meaning of bold-facing?

Goblin Squad Member

Great maps--thanks so much for taking the time to do this!

Goblin Squad Member

hmm, guess i used an old map for the names and alignment, forgot to update and fact check

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks, Trippic. I was afraid I'd just not figured out something about your map, which I think looks quite good, BTW, even though I forgot to say that earlier.

Caldeathe's Excellent Spreadsheet has had quite a few updates today, so it'll have the most up-to-date info for you.

Goblin Squad Member

BAH! i thought i just fixed it...

I'll take a look and compare
this one is a little easier on the eyes

least i think its better than my last ;)

Goblin Squad Member

jus noticed i forgot Phaeros and Brighthaven again....

i promise its not personal ;)

edit:
ok now the link should go ta a revised map

Goblin Squad Member

If you mean this link, it's still, unfortunately, pointing to a map without "Phaeros" and "Brighthaven". Also:

1) "vVv" s/b "vVv Gaming"
2) "Keepers of the Circle" s/b "Keeper's Pass"
3) "Bastard Sons of Daggermark" s/b "The Bastard Sons of Daggermark"
4) "The Emerald Lodge" s/b "Emerald Lodge"
5) "The Gauntlet" s/b "Alderwag"
6) "Reading Between the Lines" s/b "Canis Castrum" and bold-faced
7) "Les Compagnons" s/b "RiverBank"
8) "Hammerfist Clan" s/b "Hammerforge"
9) "Hopes End" s/b "Hope's End" and bold-faced
10) "Dagedai Alliance" s/b "Dagedai"
11) "Agents of Erastil" s/b "Blackfeather Keep"

Pretty nice Trippic!

Goblin Squad Member

Sorry I missed the link the first time, Trippic.

I *really* like the way you've done Alignment, both the hex-surround and the legend. Very elegant and easy to interpret quickly after only a minimum of eye-training.

Goblin Squad Member

There's maps, and LG-ness and other goodness as well. PvP and some of that other game junk as well.

Ozem's Vigil is actively recruiting companies that wish to make their own mark in the River Kingdoms. We have an active, strong user base represented and plan on establishing ourselves as the premiere Lawful Good settlement. Looking into the War of the Towers, the most successful settlements are the ones that are going to have a large group of companies working together to grow their city's potential.

This falls right in line with Ozem's Vigil vision from the very beginning, as we are a union of three companies plus free agents already. But we're looking for more diverse voices to fill our ranks and join us at the table. Shortly our new initiative will launch and we'd love for you to be apart of it.

So if you find yourself Lawful Neutral, Neutral Good or just plain ol' Lawful Good - please give us a moment and check us out.

The Elkhaven Tavern always has cookies. (Except when we're serving Butter Tarts)

...or Timbits.

Goblin Squad Member

Timbits are now a Burger-King property, and are no longer on the menu at Elkhaven.

There is something happening in The North this weekend.

In addition, there will be a fellow named Apothos about with lots of great recipes for starving refiners and crafters. Come for those alone if you wish.

Available while supplies last....

Goblin Squad Member

Greetings Fellow Alphanauts!

There are some crafters in the North! We aren't the only crafters in the North. We aren't the only crafters in the world. We are actively playing and can make these things:

Apothocary Items at rank 10. Quite a few recipes that are uncommon. Pretty much anything at T1.

Armorsmith Items at rank 9. These include Captain's Chainmail (awesome archer armor) and Dwarven Steel Banded and Ornate Steel Shirt. The person that brings me a recipe for Ornate Steel Plate or Oak and Steel Splint will be well rewarded. Pretty much anything at T1.

Bowyer at rank 8. Which means T2 bows.

Weaponsmith Items at rank 9. Includng Dwarven Steel Spear and Light Mace and Hardwood Quarterstaff. Some other uncommon recipes, as well.

Many skills covered at the level of T1. Weaver, Sawyer, Smelter, and those above.

These can be crafted for you if you can come up with the components or (in some cases) the raw mats. Contact me for details.

This is all practice for what we expect and how we plan to operate in EE.

As always, we are looking for some great players to join Ozem's Vigil and be part of a fun and active community come Early Enrollment. We want the best and most community spirited individuals and Companies for our endeavor!

Join Ozem's Vigil. Get Geared. Get supported. Get your PfO career going right.

how about mage robes? Got any at +2? I can now make some mage staffs and wands if I find all the materials but can't make any mage robes beyond the basic one.

Got lots of regular and plus components that I can dump on someone that I can't really use right now. Been hanging out at Rathglen [as Mysticwood] working on getting pine for mage staffs. Got a couple of oak and maple there last night, two hexes north of the place. Need azure crystals too or the components to make them.

Sorry Bunibuni. I would love to help you out but I don't have skills in that area. I don't know of anyone (Ozem's Vigil) that does at this point. We do have a cpl of Mages so I think we will have the skills in EE.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah, I'm kind of planning on working on the two skills needed to raise the ability to make robes and staves. Got level two in both and level 3 is like 3600 xp so I should be able to get a total of three levels in those over the Christmas vacation.

I'll just hunt and kill in the woods until I get the levels I need.

But as an aside, I'm dumping recipes I can't use in the AH in Rathglen if folks want to stop by every day or so and check and see what's there. :-)

If I come to OV, as a Dowser and Sage, do you have Iconographers, Artificers, etc to make Holy Symbols and Focuses that Clerics need. DO you have miners and scavengers to provide the gems and ores needed to make ores, not only at Tier 1 but dedicated to tier 2.

Hi Lam :)

We (like most groups) only have a small fraction of our player base involved in Alpha right now. Most of those not playing now, have indicated that they will be jumping in when EE starts. There is no master list of exactly what each person will be focusing on. I know that Mbando has been trying out Iconographer. Whether he decides it is for him in EE, I can't say.

We will most certainly be covering those things that are available to a Fighter/Cleric settlement. We will also be (hopefully) on good enough terms with our immediate neighbors to do other needed crafting at their houses. I will be covering a pretty wide range, just by myself. I believe that there are a good number of others that are interested in various "craft" trees.

Will we have dedicated crafters, gatherers, refiners well into T2 levels? I suppose that we probably will as almost all of OV has a free 4 months game time. That is worth sticking things out to see if GW can get enough done to placate the demands of enough players to stick around longer.

As I have told you many times, we would be quite happy to have one or more of your characters in our settlement. You are an icon about these forums. :)

I will be working on the mage side of things, including Sage and Artificer.

And will likely be doing a lot of gathering as well.

We are an actual settlement now. Many thanks to delightful Bonny!

Companies, small groups and goodly individuals: contact me, or go HERE, to discuss joining a great community that is growing almost daily.

Very interested in Companies that want to run thier own Point of Interest in our close vicinity. Join up. Take a few towers. When the war ends, build your dream spot in cooperation with, and under the protection of, Ozem's Vigil!

It is sooo awesome to finally be in EE! :)

Still growing slowly but surely on a foundation of great people and more than "great" new heroes. It is these great people and some close ties with neighbors that are shaping Ozem's Vigil to be a pretty fun group to be involved with.

We are surely blessed in the way that good friendly people can be. Things just happen in the right way. Not like a rocket with a flashy start, a boom and then a fading out. More like a star that gets brighter and brighter.

Consider Ozem's Vigil as your home. You know who you are. Come join us in a fun positive atmosphere.

We are waiting for you and we have plenty of opportunities for those that want to have a meanigful impact on their community.

Going it alone is difficult. This Game is 1000 times better, played with a decent group.

Come be a part of something in the wilds of the North. Something that is not yet huge, where you can have a lerge impact. A bastion of law, order, comaraderie, great times, and some actual organization. We are welcoming and friendly.

Get geared. We have top notch crafting and a terrific variety of local resouces.

Get Your Achievements. We have pretty regular activities for monster bashing, Gathering, Escalation trimming, and exploring.

Great trained. We have friendly and experienced players that can show you a few tips and tricks.

We are looking for pro social people that know the difference between what is right and wrong, not just what is allowed by the system and what is not.

Take a look. Come hang out with us for a day or two. See if you like what we are doing and where we are heading.

you forgot to add "The ONLY Stronghold in the north" =P

...well other than Forgeholm but I consider that more of a Mountain Fortress ;)

Any friend of Bringslite is a friend of mine. Let me know if you are having any issues with murderers, I will gladly tear out their hearts in the name of Sarenrae.

will do, and good to hear

In the name of Abadar, let them be judged

We are doing really great, as more people are starting to check the game out. If you or your gaming group might be interested in what we have to offer, definitely give us a look.

We are into Tier 2 and excited to be working with some other really great communities.

Help Wanted: Holdings are just around the corner. Ozem's Vigil is entertaining the idea of sponsoring Companies of all sizes to run holdings in our general vicinity. If you are game and either new and unaffiliated yet, or an old hand and want new scenery, contact us and be surprised. Alignment is a far future mechanic. Still, no murderous groups or avowed evil groups will be considered. Anyone else will be considered and rewarded well for their time with us. This includes (but is not limited to) the incentives below.

Incentive:

1. Equal access to the top notch training and crafting that our Settlement and those which our close friends offer.
2. Ozem's Vigil will build the Holding that you want as long as it fills a mutually beneficial need.
3. Ozem's Vigil will help defend your holding against all raiders. We will rebuild it if destroyed.
4. We will negotiate a mutually beneficial compensation for as long as you run the Holding at or near peak efficiency.

Step up and get your Company a spot in a group of really fun people.

AS always, we also have an open door policy for any individuals or small groups to come up and spend a night or two with us. We are pretty active in our area. You will have fun. You can choose to consider joining one of our fine Companies or leave if we are not a good fit for each other. Either way, I don't imagine that you will be sorry that you came. :)

Goblin Squad Member

Holdings are here. <--- I know. Old news.

Where are all the people that want to run Holdings?

Many of our hexes are great for bonus proximity resources.

There is room to stretch your legs here and do your own thing.

There is a very good mix of raw crafting materials.

There are tons of mobs around, for PVE, slay to your heart's content. I know that I occasionally enjoy an hour or two of just smashing monsters.

We have (almost nightly) regular activities with Oz, Alderwag, and Forgeholm (like brothers and sisters) all mixed up and having fun.

Look at the post above this one if you would like to run or own a Holding.

If you are unattached to a settlement, are new and still looking around, or just want a change of scenery come up and spend a few days with us, around here. Get a good look at how we operate. No strings attached. We have great training, refining, and crafting.

PM me here with your character name(s) and we will make you very welcome.

Have some fun and have some laughs.
