New Blessings for Skulls & Shackles?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

So, can we expect to see new blessings in the Skulls and Shackles AP?

I'd really like to see this whole area fleshed out a bit more - stronger tie-ins between a character's favoured deity and gameplay.

I also really like the idea of a blessing of Cayden Cailean. Not sure what the power would be, but I expect Valeros & Jirelle would enjoy finding out.

It has been mentioned that while there will be overlap, there will be blessings unique to S&S

There will almost certainly be Blessings of Besmara and Norgorber. Cayden Caliean would be another great fit as would Gozreh and Asmodeus.

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that BotG will still be the 'default' basic blessing.

I don't really see how they could get out of BotG being the basic blessing. It is versatile enough that it helps you out in the lower adventures, but not really good enough that you want to hang onto it in higher adventures. It has a good balance in that way.

I think that there will definitely be new blessings, though. I would expect to see very much the same blessings from the RotR base set, and then a few different ones in the adventures after that.

Here are some links about this:

Vic discussing overlap of cards between RotR and S&S.
Vic mentioning BotGs being repeated in S&S.
Mike teasing us with maybe, possibly, perhaps mentioning a new blessings to be included in S&S.

So there will definitely be some new ones, but BotG will be the Basic one still.

Blessing of Savanh, achaekek, Cayden Cailean

Also, you can see the preview and the demo in another thread, which has some shots of a few different blessings.

Yes, in the videos you may see a few blessing.

It seems that some of them gives bonus for 2 types of non-combat check. From the "old" blessings I recall seeing Abadar and (naturally) BotG in the base set demo.

I'm surprised that besmara (the god of pirates) isn't a shoe-in for one of the blessing slots

It might be introduced in later adventures if it doesn't show up in the original AP.

If you are referring to Mike's comment, that is probably just Mike's way of being coy. I believe Tanis called it "Mike snark". So don't take his vague, non confirming response to mean it isn't a shoe in.

I wouldn't rule it out.

Well played, sir. Well played.
