Inner Sea Gods and worship prerequisites

Rules Questions

For some feats in the Inner Sea Gods book some of the prerequisites are to worship a Demon Lord or a Archdevil.

I'm wondering does worshiping Lamashtu qualify for worshiping a Demon Lord since she is/was one and does worshiping Asmodeus count for worshiping an Archedevil since he is basically The Archedevil or do they actually have to be one from the list in the appendix.

Scarab Sages

I'd allow those, personally. Not sure what the RAW would be.

I would say Yes.

Lamashtu is still a demon, she is just a god now too.

Asmodeus is a little different, but should still count as a devil IMO.

Bump

To follow up on my previous answer, Faiths and Philosophies list Asmodeus in the Archdevils pantheon and Lamashtu in the Demon Lords pantheon.

So there's something printed to back me up.

I'd probably go with yes as well.

Lamashtu in particular seems to be treated the same way in the big bad book.

Can you give an example of said feats?

first one I could find

edit : flavor text: You can focus the Abyss's power to sow discord among
those who take damage from your channeled energy

im pretty sure Lamashtu can provide

RAW i would say that you can't choose it, because Lamashtu is a deity and not a demon lord (she is listed in the deities table and not in the demon lords table), but since the feat is for very high level and it's kinda weak in general i would allow it in my game.

Demonic Obedience : must worship a demon lord.

Lamastu is an option, just saying

Scarab Sages

I don't think deity and demon lord are mutually exclusive. She's been listed in both tables, officially, in previous books to ISG. That's like having a feat that says "must eat meat" and denying the use of a sandwich because it has more than just turkey.

Grand Lodge

Lamashtu is a Demon Lord, and a full-fledged major deity.

Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber

Lamashtu is listed as a demon lord in Book of the Damned 2, and she has a demonic obedience just like all the other Demon Lords. So she is both. I would say same for Asmodeus.
