Evangelist PrC and Magus

Rules Questions

Grand Lodge

Before I buy Inner Sea Gods I have a question. When the Evangelist PrC says "She gains all the class features for this class, essentially adding every evangelist level beyond 1st to her aligned class to determine what class features she gains." does this include gaining spells and spell levels, caster levels, arcane pool, magus arcana, and everything else included in the aligned class?

Scarab Sages

Yup, it seems that way. It seems too good to be true, but it looks that way.
I think I may have to try this PrC out sometime, it is suspiciously not bad.

Basically you trade one level advancement and the obedience feat to gain the benefits of the prestige class. Losing one level of spells is bad but not deal-breaking. Just keep in mind you are trading the feat plus level for the benefits of the Prestige class, if that works for you, enjoy.

Grand Lodge

The feat isn't a waste for a Magus either, although you do need to do an extra one hour ritual each morning.

+4 on Concentration checks (Nethys) -- This is better than Combat Casting.
+4 on *all* Knowledge checks (Irori)
+2 on attacks with Daggers (Pharasma)
+1 Initiative and Per checks for surprise (Desna)

Sovereign Court

Does it work with the favored class bonus from the base class? In other words, does it allow you to choose the favored bonus from your aligned class?

I've been looking everywhere and I can't find that information.

This is a tough one but I believe it does.

No.

As far as I can tell. You don't get favoured class bonuses for prestige classes and you aren't actually taking levels in your aligned class.

Favored class bonus is unfortunately not a class feature so you don't gain it. It is a very good prestige class, and as written can be combined with another prestige class(making spellcasting prestige classes viable by giving them 6+int, 3/4 BAB, and good reflex unfortunately. It's worth for the basically giving up 1 level in spellcasting and class ability delay for +2 AC, 2 languages, faster[maybe even better] boons, +4 to all untrained skill checks, and spiritual form)
For funzies try mixing it with hellknight signifier and cleric with archetypes that remove channel energy to give you only 1 level loss in domain progression and gain channel energy vs chaotic outsiders anyway.

It is incumbent upon the DM to strictly enforce the Deific Obedience requirements of the feat that enables this class.
