Land Rush Free Agents

Sounds like there might be an incentive to testing the Free Agent market.

So what is the bid for this free agent? Interested guilds please send PM.

Notes on this free agent:
Games played: D&D mud, UO, EQ, RO, EQ2, WOW, DAoC, FF14, .
Likely not going to spend skill points until middle / late portion of EE (starting in Alpha) since no Twin and want to research and plan an advancement path.
Favorite roles: Mystic Theurge, crafting items, gathering, exploring.
Play style: True Neutral (easily shifts towards Chaos; if I don't like the law won't obey it). Assistance given to those that ask nicely.

Hi, I won't push a sale really. Callambea is a LN settlement hoping to compete as a top merchant stop for the River Kingdoms. We are currently allied with Golgotha, the largest evil presence currently announced. We have plans in the building stages for a good presence as well, and hope to tie things together along the Lawful axis at the nation level.

If that is something you are interested in, feel free to drop by paxgaming.com.

I don't want to ignore your post, Arumvorax, but I'm genuinely uncertain whether to continue recruiting forum posters for The Seventh Veil directly or to encourage folks to join our allies' companies as they seek to secure their own place in the upcoming Land Rush.

At any rate, it sounds like you're probably already thinking along these lines, but I didn't want you to think you were being ignored :)

It's hard to say what your best bet is, but on the surface it looks like the "if I don't like the law won't obey it" and the "Lawful axis" might be a problem for you.

I'd say you should look for a libertine group of some type. Perhaps you should start a guild of "Freedom Fighters" who intend to help keep the Road of the River Kingdoms free from the depredations of the Hellknights and their allies?

Good luck!

Greetings Aurumvorax,

Might I suggest taking a look here?

If you are looking for a home, we are always keeping an eye out for those who might be a good fit with us.

We mostly look for excellence in our recruits; those who want to push the envelope on what is possible, and already have or are willing to earn the skill to make it happen.

Feel free to take a gander at our charter and introduce yourself if you are interested.

p.s. What server did you play on in EQ? Did you play any other muds?

I am wondering, if a free agent were to apply through the Goblinworks website for one of the Guilds that are listed for the landrush, would they expect you to go through the regular applicationprocess on their regular forums as well?

I realize this will differ per Guild, just curious which Guilds would allow just a simple application through the GW website.

Since the pressure seems to be on right now to grow your guild in the coming 10 weeks.

Good question. I think for The Seventh Veil, it would largely depend on how much interaction we could get between Applicants and our Members just on the goblinworks.com site.

Pax has a community requirement that is locked regardless what game you are applying for. While we can add more hurdles for recruitment, we can not take a requirement away.

That is essentially a two week recruitment process on our boards, and afterwards a vote.

Goblin Squad Member

Charlie's right, we tend to have just one requirement. That is the two week recruitment period and vote. We did away with all the extra curiculars of recruitment after the incident with the llama. =)

I can vouch that it is actually a pretty fun process. I still have my own application thread in my "favorites" list because I like to look at it when I am lonely... ;)

Seriously though, the page looks daunting, but it is a large community involved in MANY games. Not nearly as confusing as it looks on the first visit. Any of us can help you navigate it quite easily and would be more than happy to.

Aww, Bringslite, you can't be lonely - you have lots of friends here ... (sharpens knife for friendly backstab ;p)

Congrats on finding home again - look forward to visiting your trading emporium.

As far as Go Rin No Sho is concerned, our primary requirement is one that would need to be played out in game over a reasonable period of time.

We will mostly be looking at the quality of your time with us, less so for sheer quantity. That said, we are all going to be newbs at first, so demonstrations of dedication to skill will be given an opportunity to develop.

Past that it is just a matter of personality fit. We are not a huge group, so it will not be easy to get lost in the crowd in that sense.

In short, yes, we will be accepting guild applications primarily through the Goblinworks system, with only the request that you make it public in our company thread and give the other members a chance to greet you properly.

Nothing like a "shiv" between friends my Goodly Scholar! :)

It will be sweeter if you actually use a blade that I craft and you buy.

I hope that you will visit often and that relations are such that I might do the same. Can't wait to see what you guys do with such a well situated spot to develop!
