I considered doing this in RP, and I may change it later, but I will keep it much simpler for the moment.

I am a proprietor of a shadow group, as many of you active companies know.
I also have the stated goals of crushing all tyranny, wherever it is found, as well as promoting oversight on a global scale for those willing to adhere to it (but not affecting anyone who does not sign up, nor enforcing any laws).

Many of you have taken all this at face value.

I am sending this message as we get close to EE just as a general sort of plea to whoever is lurking, whether you be shy, quiet, observing, formulating plans, whatever.

I am promoting an RP heavy group of loose individuals who like to hang out. I will not mention any names, make any allusions, or otherwise force anyone to come forward out of the shadows.

I have my own reasons for doing this, but I promise you I will hold to my word. There are no requirements nor is there any expectations. I am currently joined by three individuals.

Now to the meat.

My personal opinion and recommendations on the following groups:

TEO: a very healthy, active group. I would recommend this to any group wanting to stop bandits, looking for a more "simple" life, and basically favor PvE and more "humanitarian" pursuits (e.g. aiding the weak/poor).

TSV: another extremely active popular group. if you like knowledge, trade, and basically getting around the world and having fingers in many pies, this is where you belong.

UNC: Bandits. Awesome. Blade, Coin, Pain, Blood, Loot, and a rather intelligent, if headstrong, bunch of leaders to boot. What is not to love?!

Pax: If you want to be a part of something big, these people are for you. Can't say they got much going for them other than that imo, but they do support all sorts of life styles and they are BIG.

TVC: Druids of the militant (and possibly only) variety. Tired of your beautiful nature gettin trounced by uppity civilizations? tired of the beasts you know and love being hunted down like baser creatures? THEN DO WE HAVE A SPOT FOR YOU!

Deepforge Co.: Basically the UNC's polar opposite twin. inherently good, inherently greedy, inherently strong, and inherently dwarf. Obviously a superior choice.

That is all I care to mention at this time, but I would highly suggest hitting up one of these groups if they sound appealing. At the very least drop by TSV and get yourself some more knowledge on the existing companies hey?! Nihimonicon is kinda like Seven 11. It ain't always in business, but it is allllwwaaaaays open...

If any of the groups I mentioned have objections, please state them, but know this is my opinion, so don't expect it to be changed to suit reality.

You wound me sir

I lol'd again when I got to life styles. It's true, but I know we are not the only ones. GaymeOn (now Joystick Love) at the very least is as well.

Lol.

Areks slaps a Pax prefix on Stitchers' name.

There. That's a little better.

Pax has Morbis. Really, how can you resist?

Pax... they are BIG.

Is it the size of the hands that gave that away?

We are, of cause, supportive of all lifestyles but it seems odd that you make it seem as if that is our focus. Not that there's anything wrong with that! /Jerry

But really, I don't "get" what your post is about. Perhaps someone with more comprehension that I would care to fill me in? I mean, it seems as if he is openly recruiting for a shadow organization, but that seems somewhat counter intuitive. Perhaps the second half, with the opinions of the groups to be present in PFO is throwing me off... Like it is perhaps meant to! Well played BrotherZael, well played sir.

I would like to also come out of the shadows and speak of my opposition of BrotherZael's position on Tyranny.

Tyranny is the only method a united nation of Pathfinder Citizens will be formed, and with unity comes stability, peace and prosperity. If anyone would like to join me in rubbing studded boots on the faces of the weak and powerless please, hear my appeal to join me.

I don't think there's any rush to affiliate with any particular group. There are undoubtedly companies with small board presence here but who will hit the ground running when EE begins; there's no need to hitch on to one of the above. Early on a lot of features aren't going to be in the game anyway.

No but experience will. And that's the one thing they aren't wiping. *shrugs*

Ok, but what does that have to do with company affiliation?

You left out Keepers of the Circle. They are the 4th largest group after all.

Is Golgotha part of Pax? The Pax all things to all is more the Meta Pax -- I suspect there will be 4+ different Pax Companies. The descriptions in OP fit my understanding of what has been advertised. And, yes KoC.

I would say the selection of mentioned companies was more to do with those that the OP was interested in listing first.

Each are rather distinct from the others, and all very active here on these forums.

As for Golgotha / Pax, I'd imagine they have enough members in their over all multi game community to have 10 or more companies (assuming company size cap of 50).

And I wish these companies the best of luck! At least those who aren't picking on other players who don't want to be picked on. Some players do want to be picked on, I don't mind you picking on those so much. Andius would probably love some folks trying to pick on him a little bit. ;)

@Brother Zael I see what you did there. :) The Schemer

A quote:

Quote:
...a natural troublemaker who used to live in an Insula owned by the Official and can cause dissension and stir up fights between anyone. These included the lions which were to devour him in the circus the other tenants got him sent to, but ended up eating each other. His mere presence even causes an argument and a fight between Caesar's guards and associates.

Goblin Squad Member

It doesn't require a very good cook to stir the pot in an open world PvP MMO, where it focuses on settlement vs settlement. Particularly when limited resources is added in.

I never felt Pax was all that big. The Pax Community, absolutely, but we're spread out over a dozen games.

If we end up having a mega-presence in Pathfinder then it's Goblinworks fault for making such an awesome game. (And other companies for making the same old drivel)

Yeah, all kidding aside we have thus far only convinced a small percentage (single digits percentage) of our internal community members to commit funds for EE entry.

I like the think we did fairly well in comparison to the other vocal orgs here on the Paizo boards, but pitching EE was an exceptionally hard sell.

Hopefully if we have a genuinely fun game to show folks OE will be a different story. Until then I am fairly cautious to call us big.

Goblin Squad Member

Once EE stabalizes I would expect a bigger influx. We've got a lot of folks that like Pathfinder but are otherwise preoccupied with other games.

Goblin Squad Member

I think many of our larger organizations have pulled more from the kickstarter community itself than pre-existing contacts and connections. Covenant of the Phoenix is also a large organization, but when we merged with them we did not really increase our Early Enrollment adopters. Of course, I think communities like Pax and CotP are likely to see much more community adoption of PFO once the game nears OE and it is a more fully fleshed out product.

There are different ways to optimize current organizational activity within Meta-Gaming Communities.

That was the goal of bringing in Golgotha and redeveloping our previously held LG stance.

Having separate organizations catering to LG, LN, and LE, not only helped ease some concerns of potential allies, but it sparked a big interest within Pax itself. People that were hell bent on playing LG or NG came back to us and kinda surprised us.

That and the possibility of six out of nine alignment coverage can and has been rather appealing to some folks.

On a serious note, I'm not talking about in-game so much as I am guilds and UNC got the best one because, son, they need it.
