Best and Interesting Poisons

Advice

I have a character in a lvl 16 gestalt game. He uses poisons.
He has the poison conversion discovery for alchemist, so the affliction type doesn't matter. Money is also not an object.

My question: Are there any poisons that are actually interesting? Most of it seems to either be "this much ability damage this many times." Or unconsciousness.
Is there a more interesting poison than that?
If not, do you have a favorite poison?

Are you looking for poison that's actually functional in combat or are just interesting? It's quite a feat to have either one of those properties for poison, let alone both.

By far, my favorite is Vishkanya Sleep Venom. If only for convenience. Most poisons come off as pretty boring though, save vs. ability damage.

Mostly looking for more interesting than ability damage.

Homebrew magical poisons with magical effects! That might be pretty cool. At best you really just make someone fall asleep or out cold in some manner, and usually not for too long so you have to act fast.

Shadow Lodge

Nightmare Vapor from UE is awesome. Wis damage and Confusion. watch them saw thier own head off.

Sczarni

Poison is a woefully under-implemented part of the game. I would recommend talking with your GM to try and homebrew some new poisons, with some new poison effects.

If you're an alchemist, perhaps you could incorporate your extracts and their effects into the poison? Perhaps a poison that deals fire damage? One that replicates the drawbacks, but not the benefits, of your mutagen?

Thanks.
I handn't found any interesting ones in my search, and that appears to be because there aren't any... the confusion one is good.
It's a highly homebrewed game with rules major light.
This is the character by the way.

Ice troll phlegm
Spell scorch
Woundweal
Ghast retch flask

All very interesting and lovely poisons. Personal favorite is the ghast retch. They're screwed if they don't save, and screwed if they do.

Poison's make a lot of fun
Especially with minor creation

School conjuration (creation); Level sorcerer/wizard 4
Casting Time 1 minute
Components V, S, M (a tiny piece of matter of the same sort of item you plan to create with minor creation)
Range 0 ft.
Effect unattended, nonmagical object of nonliving plant matter, up to 1 cu. ft./level
Duration 1 hour/level (D)
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance no
You create a nonmagical, unattended object of nonliving vegetable matter. The volume of the item created cannot exceed 1 cubic foot per caster level. You must succeed on an appropriate Craft skill check to make a complex item.

Attempting to use any created object as a material component causes the spell to fail.

Most poisons are plant based.

with regards to poison and the creation spell..

How do you/how expensive would "a little bit of the item" cost?
Or would it bel ike.. you buy or make it once and save that bit to partition up into more via spell? I suppose figureo ut how little you can use for hte spell and how far one dose would get you....
or see if you can use one dose and this spell to make like a cube full of doses (however much that is)

Poisons are a total trap option in PF.
Their DCs never raise past crap. They almost all allow more than a single save. Their cost is anywhere between, "really?" and, "WTF, I'd rather buy a magic item!"

But then, what did you expect? This is a game where "one-hit-kills" are basically a no-no, and that's basically what poison is/was used for.

I can't seem to find these other than Woundweal.

Mad Hallucinations, Disfiguring Touch, Boiling Blood, and Touch of Gracelessness could be cool "poisons".

Pretty much exactly this, especially if you are at level 16 finding a poison which will do anything to any opposition you might face is next to impossible.

Ice troll phlegm : the winter AP
Ghast retch flask: ultimate equipment
Spell scorch: duergar poison: found in Advance race guide

Sovereign Court

I happen to be playing a Wood wizard (tiefling; going into MT with Travel & Trickery).

So I'd have access to such poisons. How would a wizard be able to use them though?

That page is really helpful for making the high level poisons.

Still lacks the interesting factor, but that can be done mostly by putting status conditions or mind effects as poisons.

Thanks for all the help. Suggestions are still welcome.
