New pathfinder player, I need help building a summoner

I am building a character for a friend's campaign, I thought a summoner would be fun but I need help with the build and the eidolon. The campaign is a standard 15 point adventure. Where do I go from here? Can anyone help? All suggestions are greatly appreciated. (This is my first thread too. So I hope this goes well)

The Beginner Box thread is for questions regarding the Beginner Box product, which is a much simplier version of Pathfinder without the Summoner.

First a few questions.
What kind of game? Is it a pre-written module/campaign?
Do you have an idea of the setting?

Any hints on the amount of wealth in the game?
Will there be item crafting?

How much experience do you have with roleplaying games? Pathfinder?

With a 15 point buy, I'd probably go with standard array:
8,10,12,13,14,15.

Alternatively you could dump the 8 to a 7 and have something like:
7,12,12,13,14,15.

Do you plan on sending your pet in and playing buffer/support? Or did you want to wade into combat as well? Did you want to stay at ranged and use a bow while your Eidolon runs in? Did you want to have your Eidolon as a mount?

If you want to be support, you can put the 15 into charisma, if melee, 15 to str, or if ranged, 15 to dex.

Try for a 12 or higher con. 14 if you can afford it.

If this is your first game, I'd avoid archetypes and stick with base summoner.

Some recommendations.

Spells:
0-Acid Splash, Detect Magic, Light, Read Magic
1-Mage Armor, Shield

Eidolon:
Quadruped
Evolutions
1-Claws
1-Pounce
1-Improved Natural Armor
Feat
Toughness

Your summoner's race feats, etc are up to you. Human is good.
Half-elf is also fairly strong as their alternate favored class feature is +1/4 evolution points (or an extra evolution every 4 levels)
