New Venture-Captain of Online Play!

It is my pleasure to announce that Jesse Davis (aka IronHelixx) is being promoted to Venture-Captain of Online Play. He currently serves as a VL in Houston, as well as a VL of Online Play.

Jesse has plenty of experience and tons of involvement with the online community, even before the decision was made to have Venture-Officers of Online Play. His vision, as well as his deep connections with the online base, have been instrumental in realizing the rapid growth and success of Online Play. He is a natural leader and already fulfilling the duties of a Venture-Captain.

Please help me in congratulating Jesse in his new role!

Seriously, thanks for the efforts you have made to make the online play community a first class segment of PFS, and congratulations to IronHelixx on the recognition that he was doing this level of volunteerism already.

I'm guessing that part of what made this a change instead of part of the initial group of online VOs is that Jesse wouldn't have left his local group hanging without helping train up another volunteer to take over his VL duties.... (I do not expect confirmation, but wouldn't object if commentary occurs ;) I tend to speculate in that fashion about things which aren't in the public's need-to-know bucket.)

Could someone tell me what exactly the Venture Captains do in regards to Pathfinder gaming online? Are there VLs for online gaming also?

Im just a bit confused in regards to what a VC of online gaming does.

In a nutshell, they help games get going if they need it (including setting up events, like specials), get information out to players or potential players, and adjudicate rulings when disputes are brought to their attention.
