Campaign Setting

Advice

I'm going to switch to Pathfinder for my own campaign I am running (rather than playing in). I'll be starting fresh with new characters for the players and a new start.

I am looking for a dark-ages to medieval theme with Norse, and Greek Myth and perhaps a soupcon of RE Howard and Tolkien.

Is there an official campaign setting that best fits that? I am hoping there is one as I am not looking to do the work of a conversion.

Sovereign Court

PF only has Golarion. There might be a specific area of Golarion that would work for your game but I am not an expert. I am not sure about the numerous D&D settings either. I am interested in what people have to suggest though.

I have a ton of stuff I can convert to/from but I no longer have the time I did as a kid. Plus, I want the game to have a 'Pathfinder' feel even while I limit some of the classes/races that simply don't fit what I am looking for.

May I suggest that you check out Kobold Press' Midgard Campaign Setting? Wolfgang relied heavily on Eastern European, Russian, and Norse mythology to create his world.

You might try looking at Kobold Press's Midgard campaign setting.

"The Midgard Campaign Setting brings to life a dark world of deep magic, with seven regions flavored by the folklore of Central and Eastern Europe plus a heady dose of weird fantasy."

For more information on Golarion, the Campaign Setting boards may have more information.

That said, the northern parts of Avistan has what your are looking for in Golarion. The Ulfen are basically Norsemen.

Thanks that looks very helpful.

Liberty's Edge

I am not aware of a specifically greek influenced area on Golarian, but Ustalev is easter european flavored and has a lot of more dark, or horror, elements in place. The armies of a lich once conquered the land, and have left thier mark ever since.
