I play mainly PFS, but this question is applicable beyond PFS so I thought I'd ask in the Advice forums. I have an Undine boon allowing me to create one. What can I do with it that is mechanically impressive while still being fun? I'm planning to use another boon or two on this character because it is my first con boon, and I want to do something cool with it.
I would prefer not to play a druid(already have one) or a ZAM(play one in a homegame).
I've been looking at other monk options, gunslinger, inquisitor splashes, although I'm not sure whether or not full inquisitor works with that strength penalty, cleric, and ranger. Have I missed anything, and what are your opinions on a good fit for Undines?

"What can I do with an Undine?" Whatever you want, as long as they're willing. :)
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
Serious answer:
Watersinger bard is pretty flavorful, but the stats don't line up well for it.
They would make excellent Dex based Monks or Warpriests, but you would need to get an agile weapon ASAP.

Did I miss a rule about using bows underwater or are you just referring to the fact that every 5ft of water is a -2 to hit?

I was referring to the Underwater Crossbow specifically, but it looks like it's conflicting with the rules for ranged attacks underwater.

True. But a couple of things:
First, I wouldn't expect a large percentage of adventures set underwater. The reason I trade out Hydraulic Push for Amphibious, is because you get to replace it with the Surge domain power, which can both drag and bull rush, and can be used more times a day. You even get an extra +1 to the combat maneuver check from Water Affinity. So, you might as well give up Hydraulic Push, and get water breathing for it.
Second, inquisitors get all the crossbow feats, so you're starting from a better position. Since undines get a strength penalty, crossbows are also better because your damage won't suffer from it. Get yourself an underwater repeating darkwood heavy crossbow, the Point Blank Shot feats, and you'll be capable in many different situations.

Thats sort of what I was getting at. By using the underwater crossbow you don't take as drastic of penalties for ranged combat (mostly because the range at which you take penalties is changed (apparently to 20ft?)
At first I thought you implying that a bow couldn't be used underwater at all. Which to my knowledge wasn't the case, they just don't work well underwater (because you can't hit the broadside of a barn from 50ft away).
