Add another size with:
SUN BLADE
Aura moderate evocation; CL 10th
Slot none; Price 50,335 gp; Weight 2 lbs.
DESCRIPTION
This sword is the size of a bastard sword. However, a sun blade is wielded as if it were a short sword with respect to weight and ease of use. In other words, the weapon appears to all viewers to be a bastard sword, and deals bastard sword damage, but the wielder feels and reacts as if the weapon were a short sword. Any individual able to use either a bastard sword or a short sword with proficiency is proficient in the use of a sun blade. Likewise, Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization in short sword and bastard sword apply equally, but the benefits of those feats do not stack.
In normal combat, the glowing golden blade of the weapon is equal to a +2 bastard sword. Against evil creatures, its enhancement bonus is +4. Against Negative Energy Plane creatures or undead creatures, the sword deals double damage (and ×3 on a critical hit instead of the usual ×2).
The blade also has a special sunlight power. Once per day, the wielder can swing the blade vigorously above his head while speaking a command word. The sun blade then sheds a bright yellow radiance that acts like bright light and affects creatures susceptible to light as if it were natural sunlight. The radiance begins shining in a 10-foot radius around the sword wielder and extends outward at 5 feet per round for 10 rounds thereafter, to create a globe of light with a 60-foot radius. When the wielder stops swinging, the radiance fades to a dim glow that persists for another minute before disappearing entirely. All sun blades are of good alignment, and any evil creature attempting to wield one gains one negative level. The negative level remains as long as the sword is in hand and disappears when the sword is no longer wielded. This negative level cannot be overcome in any way (including by restoration spells) while the sword is wielded.

Requirements Craft Magic Arms and Armor, daylight, creator must be good; Cost 25,335 gp

Nice!! so, we return to the 6D8 BS and now we have the 6d6 quarterstaff out of curiosity let's see what happen with the other weapons mentioned in that earthbraker thread:
Dorn Dergar: base 1d10
same as BS 4d8 without sun blade
Earthbraker: Base 2d6
large, enlarge, impact 3 increments:
2d6>3d6>4d6>6d6
so...we have the Large Sunblade as "winner" with:
6D8
followed by Large Earthbraker with:
6d6
then the quarterstaff with:
6d6 with more spells
and the last one the Dorn Dergar with:
4d8...
If something is wrong PLEASE tell me.

Don't some of the Giant Form or Monstrous Physique spells change size to a specific giant?
So, take on the form of a Taiga or Rune Giant if you like, and BAM, 4D8 damage dice.
Or, if you want to get more damage dice another way, rather than increasing your size, you could get spell permanency enlarge person and as a barbarian go for some large animal to ride (can't remember the name of the archtype) and from there, get spirited charge. Your 3D8/4D8 (depending on if you choose enlarge person permanency) suddenly becomes 6D8/8D8. And that's not counting the fact that you can do one of your lovely RAGELANCEPOUNCE attacks with the Mounted Fury (remembered it!) barbarian. And you can do that I believe with any weapon. So, not only does your charge attack count as 6 or 8D8, so do all your others, if I remember RAGELANCEPOUNCE correctly.
Yeah, you'll be a friggin world ender. Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life.

Ok, let's see what happens with the giant form/monstrous physique
Monst. Phys. 3:
[
Huge: 2 increments
Large weapon: 1
]=> this two are together making a Colossal weapon (3 incr)
Lead blades/impact:1 increment
Shallejagh: 2 increments (QS)
Total 4 increments:
BS: 1d10->6d8 (8d8 Sunblade)
EB: 2d6->8d6
DD: 1d10->6d8
QS: 1d6->8d6
Nina'd... misscalculated 1 more size now it's correct
I know that it's surreal to go carrying a colossal weapon, but by rules.... I think you can carry it and wield it after you transform.
BTW I'm counting only on weapon/spells upgrades if we add feats/manuveurs crazy things happens (vital strike, sp. charge, pounce...)
| Laif |
I'm just making the weapons as big as possible, how you want to use them is not up to me ^^
Flaws or something incorrect?
I have doubts abous Shillejagh staking with the others, but being QS specific makes me think that it does stack and it's making a QS into a EB with a spell and....yes the course of this thread kinda deviated from the original purpose.

1d8 -> 2d6 is the only time when that d8 to xd6 conversion happens.
2d8 > 3d8 > 4d8 >6d8 > 8d8 etc
the idea is that the total approximately doubles every other notch.
wouldn't that mean that it goes 1d10>2d8>2d10>4d8>4d10>8d8?
It seems weird to me that they would change conventions halfway through...
