Currently delving into the wrath of the righteous adventure path, and I am currently playing an angel-blooded aasimar, but our GM can, and has, been known to play very harsh. If my current character were to bite the dust before we get resurrection magic, I was looking into a backup character and thought this race(kasatha from bestiary 4) would be pretty cool to try out.
Any suggestions?

p.s. we have a gunslinger, a paladin, a synthesist summoner(tank, not dps)
and a ranger. was thinking of a melee character with as high an AC as i can get, for a backup tank. Everything has to be PF compatible(and by compatible I am reffering to PF, all the companion books, wayfinder, pretty much anything with the pathfinder logo on it, no D&D stuff)
Some suggestions were multi-weapon fighting, tower shield fighter with 3 1handers, and even if it is not this race, throw me some powergaming ideas(the entire group<gm included> are min-maxers)

TLDR~ making a backup character, want some min/max ideas for a game against demons and evil cultists.

I broke an idea to a guy once, check two posts down for a suggestion from 'halfling barbarian' for a better form of this idea.

An arcane caster would be more useful. I would not suggest a Kasatha for such a build though. For Kasatha, go with MoMS Monk 1 / Weapon master Fighter 19, wielding a Baurdiche or a Nodachi on two of your hands, a heavy shield on the other and having one free for the Crane Style feat tree.

anyone else have some ideas? looked at these both and they seemed really nice, also contemplated an aldori swordlord for the kasatha as some fluff.

strike that, cannot gain the dex to damage from aldori swordlord if you are dual wielding. :(

it definitely sounds like your party would benefit from a full caster...
what about a musetouched aasimar starting with oracle [wood] 1, then sorcerer 1, then take a 2nd level of whichever you prefer, and pick up mystic theurge starting at 4th?

venerable wizard specializing in knowledge checks and crafting. I had fun with him. Need to be very careful with him though as he would be very fragile. Concentrate on evasion and buff spells as it looks like you already have tanks and strong dps classes. +16 to any and all knowledge checks at level 6-8 depending on int mod is very entertaining. Race, school etc would be up to you. One suggestion if you do, with the party makeup you have, HASTE is your friend.

Thought Id offer up another idea along the lines of a full caster and expand on other posters. Pray it doesn't die of old age lol it happened to me when I ran with him. Had a lot of fun with it though

think i have it down! understandably we would benefit from an arcane caster ALOT(the gunslinger in EVERY other game since I have played with him<every friday for...4 years?> he has played a mage/sorcerer etc. lol)
Also had a great idea from a friend of mine, going monk/paladin/champion of irori from paths of prestige. great melee holy avenger type build that suits my play style alot(except the paladin but its an anti-evil game)

it would bring survivability, with higher AC and healing capabilities as well as some nifty stuff for others(not to mention evasion and cha to my saves, etc.)
