Knockback Rage power and Reach weapons

Rules Questions

So is this legitimate?

ready action

enemy closes in, hit them with readied action

they provoke AoO now trying to get adjacent

now that they are adjacent, use knockback.

how far would i have to knock them back with this rage power to force them to provoke another AoO?

Also i dont know if it matters, but i have 2x claws when raging too (lesser beast hand)

did i perhaps phrase this question poorly?

/bump, maybe this is a harder question to answer. ill still try googling, no luck so far.

I think you phrased this question poorly...

You should define the skills/actions initially, and ask what specifically was possible with the combination of those after.

ok, i have a reach weapon.

enemy doesnt

i ready an attack for when he enters my threatened square.

he enters, i hit him.

he keeps coming, leaving my threatened square to get adjacent to me, provoking an AoO from me.

I use said AoO to use my Knockback Rage Power...wich if i succeed by enough, would send my opponent both into, and out of my threatened square again.

by the rules, if an enemy leaves my threatened square, i get an AoO, as this would not be a 5 foot step or a withdraw action.

But, do i get that AoO?

Knockback (Ex)
Benefit: Once per round, the barbarian can make a bull rush attempt against one target in place of a melee attack. If successful, the target takes damage equal to the barbarian's Strength modifier and is moved back as normal. The barbarian does not need to move with the target if successful. (This does not provoke an attack of opportunity.) <--this part like the Improved Bull Rush feat.

Only lets you make the bull rush so you would need the Greater Bull Rush feat for the movement to provoke. But if you did.

The feat
Greater Bull Rush
Benefit: You receive a +2 bonus on checks made to bull rush a foe. This bonus stacks with the bonus granted by Improved Bull Rush. Whenever you bull rush an opponent, his movement provokes attacks of opportunity from all of your allies (but not you). <---

Again the movement provokes attacks of opportunity from all of your allies (but not you).
Still doesn't work for you.

Looks like no matter how far you push him no AoO. As both the rage power and even the feat does not let you make the AoOs.

When an enemy provokes an AoO for moving through a threatened square, the attack occurs before the enemy leaves that square.
In your example, the enemy would still be 10' away, not adjacent, when your AoO went off, so you could not use your knockback power.

Yes, your opponent is only provoking the AoO because you are threatening at 10-feet due to Reach. You would need to use that Reach to do the attack.
