I know there are existing scenarios that fit the bill as far as theme, but I'd love to see official holiday scenarios (Halloween and Christmas at least) to get excited about each year. They generate a lot of interest in my area (more so after the Big Bang Christmas episodes. Anyway- just an expression of interest that I hope grows and results in something like a "First Steps" series for the holiday!

My local lodge is putting on a "Scarefest" convention this weekend in Asheville, with all horror-themed scenarios.
Maybe we could have some kind of "I'll Be Home for [Christmas-equivalent holiday]'" scenario, where the PCs are trying to get back to Absalom after a mission. But on the way they have wacky hijinks, encounter a demi-god in disguise who urges them to be less selfish, and learn the true meaning of [Christmas-equivalent holiday]. It could be full of snow elves, gift-giving treants, and a jolly old Bloatmage!

This right here ... it's full of win. But I think Santa's a sorcerer. Charisma all over the place.

Have you seen Rare Exports?
That encounter could fit right in with the theme of the year!

I am NOT in favor of any lore that would cast Santa Claus as a villain or evil.

I have a friend who wrote an adventure he regularly revamps and runs at Christmas called "The Abend Cluse" (essentially Night Santa). The basic premise is that Santa supplements his toy making enterprise by taking additional 'gifts' from the bad girls and boys to give to the good ones. In this case, the bad girls and boys are the PCs. Santa steals their stuff and they have to go to his giant candy cane fortress and battle tin soldiers, teddy bears, reindeer, jack-in-the-boxes, etc, in order to get their stuff back.
He hasn't converted it to Pathfinder, yet.

Along with that thought you could use an idea of a "Christmas Carol"...
Maybe a Past, Present and Future targeting a miser old Scrooge-like character where the party replaces the traditional "Ghosts" and are instead equipped with various wands and spells and maybe a "set" or two to accomplish turning the Scrooge into a happy guy by the end of the night.
I think it would be a lot of fun, plenty of Role Playing, and general Yule-Tide laughter. After all, the entire goal is to make the Scrooge feel like he's been through time and visited different places, all to convince him to be a "good" guy.
I know I'd run it for my players :)

Hmm, could do one where you have to go get a present for Creighton Shane. What do you buy the nearly insane elf that has everything?
Special appearance by Aram Zey, after some magical experimentation temporarily turns him green. No word yet on how many sizes his heart grows that day.

Paizo is a US company with employees who share those US traditions.
This would be like me complaining that a company founded by a staff with Mid-Eastern traditions, shouldn't celebrate Ramadan.
Besides, Christmas and Yule are pagan traditions of Odin All Father, adopted by Christianity.
Or do you think that Christmas so closely coincides with the Winter Solstice is a coincidence? And the fact that Odin All Father rode an 8 legged reindeer to bless his followers on Winter Solstice is just a koinky dink when Santa has a sleigh of 8 reindeer?

The tradition I am complaining about is not that of celebrating the holidays. It is that of having a mandatory Christmas or Halloween episode in almost every comics or series that is made in the US.
We do not have this in France, for example, and I must say that it gets quite tiring after a bit to see it in every series I watch and comics I read.
Though Paizo is a US company with US employees, its clients are far from being US citizens only. And I believe that keeping RPG scenarios free from this trope would not alienate any US customer, while including it is likely to make non-US customers such as myself avoid buying the product.
