I think it's safe to say the release schedule was based on the base set making its debut at GenCon.
Per this post from someone in Paizo Customer Service, subscriber orders should be shipping between October 15 and 25. So as Vic said, that's next week, though the fact that it starts early next week is a good thing for those who are impatient.

My subscription cart, which has been setup since about 5 or 6 weeks ago, now has decks 2 and 3 consolidated into a single shipment in december.
Just a few days ago it has a message that deck 2 was shipping "tomorrow"... the system is toying with me!
Payment method authorized: December 5
Should ship by: December 181x Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: The Skinsaw Murders Adventure Deck (Rise of the Runelords Adventure Deck 2), $15.99 (in sidecart)
1x Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Promo Card: Blessing of Zarongel~
1x Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Promo Card: Dance with Squealy Nord~
1x Pathfinder Adventure Card Game—Promo Card: Birdcruncher Crown~
1x Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: The Hook Mountain Massacre Adventure Deck (Rise of the Runelords Adventure Deck 3), $15.99

Looking at my subscription cart just makes my head hurt. Th's no sign of any promo cards, the order for Adventure Decks have been "split into two" (whatever that is supposed to mean), and Skinsaw was sitting there awaiting some unspecified future event before it would be charged and shipped. I'm just going to keep my fingers crossed and hope that everything works out in the end.

This is what mine says too!
I hope this is an error, since I heard they were going to be shipping this week.
My subscription was set up last February as soon as it was available.
So, i don't think it is related to when your subscription was set up.
It would be a big disapointment if I need to waitthat long.

Hello Folks,
Updates regarding the October subscription which includes the Skinsaw Murders can be found on the October Subscription thread in the Customer Service Forum. Subscriptions are estimated to begin shipping soon (hopefully tomorrow) and finish by October 25th. The street date for Skinsaw Murders in October 30th.
You can also find more information regarding the October to December display issue for subscriptions in that thread as well.

Our street date is worldwide... but whether or not international distributors actually have stock by that date or not is another issue, and it's one that's completely outside of our vision or control. (Most overseas distributors use freight forwarders within the US, meaning US publishers all ship stuff to their forwarder, and when they get enough stuff that they think it's worth sending across the ocean, they ship it off.)

So what gives now? Still not shipped. Says it will ship in December!
I love this game but I'm honestly not real familiar with Paizo. Is this one of those deals where I subscribed and supported them and will be able to buy it at my FLGS before mine ships? If so then I want a full refund on this subscription.

It will ship in the next couple of weeks. What's happened is the system has 'spawned' your order, ready to go (you should have got an email a week or so ago to that effect) however it recognises that you havent received it yet so has added it to your 'next' subscription shipment. It's a confusing display thing that happens every month mid subscription run.
.If you've been charged it means your product has shipped (and that you were near the front of the queue, since most orders havent shipped yet). Paizo's subscriptions dont come out of your bank account in advance - the only thing you've paid for are things that have actually been sent (or at least things that have been bundled up waiting to be picked up by courier/postal service). When you first sign up there's a trial authorisation which holds funds for a few days but then subsides. Most months that doesnt happen - just when you add a new subscription.
If your priority is to get your product as early as possible, it's worth bearing in mind that a subscription doesnt include that guarantee. Some months you'll get it before it hits the stores, other months you'll get it later. (I'd guess that this month, most subscribers will get their copies after they go on sale through other channels). The benefits of subscribing are predominantly convenience and the promotional cards. (There's a discount too, of course but the shipping cost likely takes away any value there).
Having said that, there are plenty of months when subscribers do get their shipments before the street date. It's not part of the deal though - as far as I remember their unachievable ideal would be for every subscriber to receive their product exactly on the street date.

What happens if i put the promo cards in the side cart. Would they not be sent with the expansion deck? The cards were getting charged individual shipping so I thought by putting them in the side cart it would ship with the Skinsaw expansion but it is now saying they are being sent for the december shipment :(

Steve Geddes |

I don't quite understand (I don't see how you can order the cards separately from the subscription), but if I was you I'd send customer service an email (or probably better - start a thread in the customer service forum) ASAP before your order ships.
Tell them what you wanted to happen and they should be able to sort it for you. If the shipment goes out in the interim it might take some time to rectify.

Along the same line, Hook Mountain Massacre will release around Christmas since Mammy Graul & Co. is such a great example of a united family filled with the holiday spirit. Right ... Right ? Ok, maybe not ...

There were 3promo cards coming with it. two of them were being sent by 2 different shipping costing ~2$ each. I wanted it to be all in one shipment.

Steve Geddes |

I'd definitely contact customer service. They can make sure thing work as they are supposed to.
Paizo's computer sorts things to ensure postage is the minimum - however I can't imagine it splitting out individual cards.
There have been some display issues with the promo cards over the last little while (my subscription showed an imminent squealy nord for a while which hasn't even been released yet, for example. Perhaps you had something similar.
I'd send an email to customer.service@paizo.com or start a thread in the customer service subforum. That's the best way to catch the eye of CS people.

I can't wait. They were some of my favorite villains in that adventure path.

No 'chill pill' needed. I contacted customer service and they said I had checked 'send with next release' when I subscribed.
I replied saying Uh yeah?!?! Like next as in when the NEXT release is shipped. Since that was a while back the NEXT release should be Skinsaw.
They corrected my subscription and now Skinsaw is showing as pending instead of combined with Decembers order.
Everyone who may have made that same mistake might want to check their subscription page to make sure theirs is not combined with Decembers like mine was.

We are still seeing some issues with the promo cards and such during sign up. We are trying to keep an eye out for orders that try to combine the December items with the current release of Skinsaw Murders Adventure Deck and for the promo cards that are trying to ship by themselves.
If you see anything strange or odd with your subscription, please let customer service know! We are happy to get these issues straightened out for you.

Per your shipment notification email:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Order #XXXXXXXX is expected to ship from the Paizo warehouse by Friday, October 25 via Standard Postal Delivery, estimated 3 to 10 business days in transit.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-Due to the high volume of orders that leave our warehouse during a subscription run, when your order is processed for shipping and when it leaves our warehouse may not be the same date. Tracking on your package is provided by Mail innovations and usually becomes active 3 business days after your package has been processed by their facility. It is also possible that your package may miss a scanning point but still be on its way to you. The 3-10 business day estimate for transit means your package should arrive between October 30th & November 12th.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please let me know. Thanks!

Not sure how I feel about this. Other people have already received their shipments and mine is still at your warehouse? I'm being told that my subscription might not even beat the street date. Would I be better off supporting my LGS instead of buying direct from Paizo?
/sadface
I was hoping to have the new adventure for this Saturday's play session.

Mine actually arrived at my house in spite of the fact that I received no email saying it had shipped, and the order is still "PENDING".
It's always best to plan play sessions at least 2 weeks after the latest shipping date in Paizo's run. When they say it will ship between two dates, that means that they're sending shipments on ALL of those dates, inclusive, and your shipment may very well fall on the last day.

I'd say that Haste is my personal favorite in the deck - it's a spell that essentially combines the power of the Levitate spell with the additional / alternate choice of discarding it to explore again (which I imagine will be used far more frequently).
A bunch of the weapons have a "critical hit" ability that turns a roll of 6 on a 1d6 into a 7, or something like that.
There's a Deathbane Shield that can add the magic trait to any attack - very useful for warriors who need to defeat Spectres etc.
A Cloak of Elvenkind that's effectively a Crown of Charisma for Stealth checks.
A Chime of Unlocking that will open any door.
A gimpy Ring of Protection that reduces 1 damage...it isn't much worth the Item card slot it'll take in your deck...probably only exists because it has the Magic trait and might allow the exploration-poor Ezren to explore again if he nabs it.
The Blessing of Zarongel is pretty situational - only adds two dice to Fire trait / Animal defeat & acquire checks, IIRC.

I figured since I was down the street from Paizo, I would have gotten my subscription already but I'm still in the pending state. And all my nearby stores have my copy.
Cancelling sub :(
Yeah, I have to admit I'm considering this too. When you subscribe, you kind of expect that you'll be among the first to get the new release... As it stands, only one of the people in my gaming group have yet received the release, even though quite a few of the local stores have it in stock. The one guy who did get it here got it by ordering online, but not from paizo. (He also paid less lol). Kinda disappointing... but I'm hoping they get the distribution kinks worked out so that this doesn't happen in the future.

Footnote: My shipping info was just updated... even though I received an e-mail that my subscription was ready to ship last Friday, it seems as though the actual package didn't ship until today, meaning I should expect to get it sometime next week. Paizo people, please reassure me that you'll be handling this better for future releases! Your current system is making me pay more and wait longer to get your product!

No tracking info for me yet either, even though it says it shipped on the 25th. Hopefully not a case of labels being processed, but not actually shipping yet.

Out of curiosity I checked my subscription page. My order still says pending.
I received it a week ago?
This is symptomatic of the kinds of problems they're having this month.
I've been a subscriber to pretty much everything for four or so years and there's never been a month as bad as this one. I have a feeling the promo cards messed with their system in some catastrophic way.
There are occasional delayed months (August is usually painful) but issues like books arriving before Paizo's system thinks they've been sent are not something I've ever seen reported before.
Fingers crossed everything will be sorted by December. It's a shame many people's first experience as a paizo subscriber has been this shipment. It's a really good service, nearly all the time.
