The unlikeliest party

Wrath of the Righteous

Sovereign Court RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32

Just as an exercise in self-amusement, I tried to come up with a truly terrible party to send on the Wrath of the Righteous AP. These guys are not the legendary heroes you'd expect. These are the saviors you get when no one better shows up. People look at this party and wonder how they ever got mythic to begin with. But think of the pride of accomplishment if you could get this group to the end of the AP!

10 point buy, of course.
Gnome crossbowman fighter
Half-elf vow of poverty monk
Elven empyreal knight paladin
Dwarven siege mage wizard.

I obviously am not seriously suggesting anyone try something like this, but I think if you pull it off you have won.

Feel free and post other silly/crazy party ideas.

Isn't a cleric of Amadeus just the fancy way of saying bard?

Ah, spellchecker. How amusing it is. ;)

No, cleric. A cleric of song would be quite useless. ;)

Dwarven Cymbal-playing Bard
Human Paladin of Pacifism
Blind Oracle with Waves Mystery
Halfling Barbarian Slinger

Halfling Fiend Totem Barbarian
Tiefling Sorcerer (Abyssal Bloodline)
Goblin Cleric of Lamashtu
Aasimar Charlatan Rogue

Well, my group will have the LN Cleric of Asmodeus. Along with two Paladins. I'll be interested to see if that works out well for the Cleric....

You can be surprised at how nasty those slingers can be. Rapid fire bullets smashing into heads.

1. Cleric of Demogorgon
2. Cleric of Grazz't
3. Cleric of Orcus
4. Cleric of Asmodeus

They all kill each other at level 1, and never get their first mythic tier.

Four White Mages!

(No, wait)

Halfling Rogue (Bandit) who'll eventually become an Assassin of the Church
Gnome Rogue (Cutpurse)
Dwarven Rogue (Charlatan)
Half-Orc Rogue (Rake)

4 elemental fire sorcerers

good luck.

Liberty's Edge

James said something about mythic Seoni damaging demons with lightning... So I guess it could be done with fire too.

I think a party of clerics, oracles, and possibly healing patron witches would probably do okay in this one. Through in a chiurgeon alchemist and you'd be all set. those could all be considered "white mages," especially given how that joke ended up.

Now a group of four 3.5e healers...whew, that's hard mode. That class is the perfect counterexample to "9 level spellcasting makes you automatically good."
