Crafting Woundrous Items time.

Rules Questions

I have a question: if I raise the dc by 5 points when I craft a magic item, can I create 2000 gp per day? I found nothing against it in the rules.

Can someone point me to something regarding that thing? The rules doesn't state nothing about a limit of gp per day, it just say that working more than 8 hours per day doesn't add gp to creaiton, but if I raise Dc by 5, I'd do 1000 gp in 4 hours, and if I'm correct, the rules don't say that you use 4 hours to do the 8 hours work, just that you can speed up che creation process to a double rate.

Yes, this should work.

OK no it states in the craft wondrous item section on pg 553 CRB states that 1000gp per day BUT under the Craft skill you can up your craft dc by +10 to complete in shorter amount of time but that is to make like sword or armor with a much higher craft dc.

Let me quote the relevant passage, Scott Way:

Quote:

The creator also needs a fairly quiet, comfortable, and well-lit place in which to work. Any place suitable for preparing spells is suitable for making items. Creating an item requires 8 hours of work per 1,000 gp in the item's base price (or fraction thereof), with a minimum of at least 8 hours. Potions and scrolls are an exception to this rule; they can take as little as 2 hours to create (if their base price is 250 gp or less). Scrolls and potions whose base price is more than 250 gp, but less than 1,000 gp, take 8 hours to create, just like any other magic item. The character must spend the gold at the beginning of the construction process. Regardless of the time needed for construction, a caster can create no more than one magic item per day. This process can be accelerated to 4 hours of work per 1,000 gp in the item's base price (or fraction thereof) by increasing the DC to create the item by 5.

The caster can work for up to 8 hours each day...

Seems perfectly valid to me. Too bad you can't rush it even more. : (

Look at Cooperative Crafter Feat. If you have someone that has the appropriate Item Creation Feats, you can double your output again.

True. Gained most easily with a familiar that has the Valet Familiar archetype.

SKR has officially stated that 2000gp per day for 8 hours is correct. He verified it in the FAQ for Ultimate Campaign

Interesting. Can you give me the link? I tried to search for it but I didn't find that FAQ.

This should do it
