Prestige class

Advice

Once you choose a prestige class, do you have to stay with the prestige class up to certain amount of levels before adding levels to your primary class

No, every time you gain a new level, you can take that level in any class you qualify for.

This was more of a rule question...

There was one 3.5 PrC that required you to continue taking levels of that PrC until finished (IIRC), but the general rule is that you can choose for yourself what class to take a level of at each new level.

I think that PrC was Martyr.

A prestige class is just like a regular class, except that it has prerequisites for entry. You can hop in and out of them as you desire.

Yeah, Risen Martyr from Book of Exalted Deeds. I think the Eidolon and Eidomancer in Ghostwalk were the same and a couple of other.
