If you just HAD to make a Kobold, Halfling or Gnome Magus

Advice

If you just HAD to make a Kobold,Halfling or Gnome Magus how would you do it?

For those without the Kobold race from Midgard (-4 Str,-2 Con,+4 Dex)small +1ac,+1 to hit for size,-1 CMB/CMD,+4 stealth, base move 30 feet,Darkvision,+1 ac due to thick scales,+2 to trap crafting,+2 to perception as well as prof-Miner,Craft and trap making are always class skills,Light Sensitivity.

I'm thinking a Kobold Magus might be very doable but a Halfling one might work as well. Both I figure would need weapon finesse/dervish dance.

Now I can see issues with this idea but with the DM letting us start with 32 point buy stats and I'm told a extra feat for two drawbacks it just might work.

What do you guys think?

With a 32 pt buy you could make any race do anything. I don't know if you have your heart set on magus, but druid is usually quite MAD. With that point buy, though, you could make it work. Either way, with that buy I'd got kobold for two reasons. First, it would be hilarious, and second, the bonuses to AC rock.

With 32 PB you can bite the Str penalty and be a Str-magus if you like. Much of the magus damage comes from bonus dice similar to the rogue, so it's not too great of a deal. Of course, a +4 dex does point you a certain direction.

I think you could build a magus off of a kobold. Just focus on dex, int, and con. With finesse and dervish you can use dex for to hit and damage by lvl 3. To netegate the light sensitivity, you could get the two-world magic trait and pick up penumbra for one of your cantrips.

Kobold all the way, unless strong heart halflings exist.

Most point buy builds stop at 18, so the racial -4 caps you at 14 strength. I'd worry about the lack of a bonus to hit.

Dex based build you can have STR: 6 DEX: 22 CON: 10 INT: 18 WIS: 8 CHA: 8
Finesse and Dervish Dance, and you are good to go.

I'm curious now. Why only those three races? Are you required to be small?

I don't have to be a small race I just tend to like them. Also the guys/girls I'm playing with have characters with perfect 10 looks and overly dramatic hair flourishes.

I don't know why really but they make me want to drive to the other extreme. My last character was a huge fat barbarian who farted, burped and in general drank till he threw up all over the place while picking his nose.

It's a character flaw I have that when I feel like I'm in a Pathfinder version of Twilight I have to misbehave.

So I figured a Kobold Magus or a fat little halfling Magus might do the trick.

They have RUINED Drow and Tieflings for me.

I like a halfling magus focused on Sling Staff as you can give it the bonuses to damage for both melee and ranged, makes you very versatile.

Kobold, especially if you can use the stuff from the ARG (Pool strike with tail attachments, yessss).

My first Magus was a halfling and i started by giving him 14's in all stats (after race), worked surprisingly well and eventually ended the game with no stat less than 16. I focused mostly on giving him spells that polymorphed him into large kill-beasts, spells that closed the gaps between me and my target, and wall spells to keep things from running away.

As it worked out, i was the second best fighter in the group, and second best caster in our group of 6.
