Looking for any GM's out there that may be interested in starting a Jade regent AP or is in need of a new player in an existing one (not too far along though) or if your group is anticipating an opening soon
...
Lou here has been trying to get into one for a year now most of the ones he started in have died or been shut down for various reasons.

so if your group is looking to for a skilled cook and amatuer artist let me know ...

Grand Lodge

I would consider running Jade Regent, but it may be a while down the road. I am currently running Rise of the Runelords Anniv Edition. PM me, and I will contact you if I think of starting soon.

Just a bump herestill looking

I guess its not that popular then at least not anymore.

but still looking...

I too have been wanting to play in Jade Regent, and each game of it I am in dies just before or just after the first encounter... Very sad, this is really the only adventure in years that has made me want to be a player.

Grand Lodge

Eden, if you are interested, and haven't found one in a few months, I will be interested in running Jade Regent. I am looking for a good VTT that is not too expensive. Ideally, I would like to run it on Paizo Game Space, but I don't know how long it will take to get up and running.

I have Lou in line to possibly play. Send me a PM, if you are interested.

Liberty's Edge

I would love to play a Jade Regent AP. I been trying to decide if I would play a cavalier or a paladin.

Grand Lodge

Well, it looks like we have quite a party growing. I got Lou's character, and I would also like to introduce your characters in my current Rise of the Runelords campaign, to sort of foreshadow the Jade Regent, when I am finally ready to run it.

Unless, someone else wants to volunteer to run it for you guys sooner...

Count me in those interested by the Jade Regent AP.

Grand Lodge

That's 4! :)

Grand Lodge

Ok, since we have a decent crowd, I would like to introduce the basic house rules that I will be adapting for Jade Regent.

House Rules

if there are still any slots, i'd be delighted!!!!

Do you have the link to your runelords game?

Grand Lodge

Actually, my Runelords game is a face-to-face game with my friends here on Kauai.

If you have facebook you can check out some of the downtime rp here.

Sovereign Court

If you have room for another in Jade I would love to play. The last two sessions I was in, the GMs just disappeared. If not I hope you all have fun!

Grand Lodge

Roidrage, as long as you don't mind a couple of things. First, check the House Rules and see if you are willing to subject yourself to them... :p

And second, I won't be starting for a while for a couple of reasons. First, I am running Rise of the Runelords (which I would like to be the base for kicking off the Jade Regent) and second, I would like to do this via VTT, preferably Paizo Game Space.

So, like I have mentioned a couple of times, if you all don't have an alternative by the time I am finally ready to start, I am happy to run this AP.

Liberty's Edge

I believe I wouldn't enjoy the house rules, I am already playing a homebrew face to face and having another ruleset to keep track of, could be painful.

Grand Lodge

Sorry, it is something that is important for me to tell the story that I want to. It would have been a pleasure, I am sure.

A quick mention:

If you really want to kickoff Jade Regent in an interesting way, pick up the free "We Be Goblins!" PDF module. It's a *direct* prequel to the first part of Jade Regent where you play goblins on a mission. Even if you don't play it, it'll give you nice ideas for the first part.

Grand Lodge

Thanks... I will take a look!

Grand Lodge

Has everyone that is still interested looked at the Player's Guide?

I believe I will bow out of the running. I would much prefer to play in something with fewer house rules.

That being said, thanks for considering me.

Grand Lodge

Understandable, good luck, Eden!

Grand Lodge

Roidrage and Andreas Skye, are you both still interested?

Sovereign Court

I don't mind the rules but are you doing this as a pbp or another way?

Grand Lodge

My goal would be to do it via the Paizo Game Space, so live at a pre-arranged time. But I am not sure how soon that could become a reality. If I can find a good VTT that is not too expensive, then I might be able to run earlier.

It could be a little of both, with some outside rp being done via PbP but a majority of combats I would like to do live. (I find that on PbP, combats move way too slow for me.)

What would you guys prefer, and why?

Dark Archive

I'm not really interested in playing due to the number of house rules, but have you considered Map Tool (http://www.rptools.net/index.php?page=downloads) as a VTT? It is quite robust and very friendly.

Grand Lodge

Thanks WhtKnt, I will look into it.

still looking for a Pbp Jade Regent.

@ Aeshuura. I don't have the steady time to commit to that type of game. which is why I prefer PbP.

I don't mind the house rules though.

Grand Lodge

Well, we will see. I am still exploring options. I will keep you updated.

bump and still looking in case Aeshuura's game does not pan out

Another bump guess this ap isnt very popular

Grand Lodge

I think a lot of the ones that are interested have either already played through, or are currently playing through. I saw several campaigns in session already.

Hope you can find one, otherwise we will have to find some players that don't mind my house rules. ^_^

I'd be interested in playing.:)

Grand Lodge

Katcando, have you looked at the house rules?

There is a group of players who just embarked on this journey, got to the gates of an abandoned village in the swamp, and then we lost the GM. We are soon to be in the neighborhood for a GM to carry the four of us (at least three of us, we may have lost the fourth). Not sure if we would all be cool with that multitude of house rules, though. I don't think I would be, as they look like they overcomplicate things, especially for a PbP.

Is there any room left in this one?

Grand Lodge

Anyone that is interested, please check the House Rules and make sure that you are willing to subject yourself to my storytelling/ GMing style.

These House Rules are currently for my Rise of the Runelords campaign, and also include new equipment and two archetypes. (Though the Shalastian Hunstman, may be inappropriate for the campaign.)

Miles: Trey and I are around. and i think i say Ray posting with another alias in another thread not long ago

I'm the player of Miles in that game, btw. I might be interested in your house rules, Aeshuura, but it would be with a bit of kicking and screaming. (I use Hero Lab because I am incredibly lazy and the house rules would have me doing a lot more work, but if your GM'ing style compensates for that, I'd be willing to compromise.) Didn't want you to take what I said about the house rules being overcomplicated as anything insulting.

Grand Lodge

Oh, no. Of course not. I prefer to run with a more cinematic style, and allow for a lot of improvement in characters outside of level gain. The Vigor and Wounds also increases the survival rate for low levels. (What level are you guys, by the way? What is the group make-up?)

For me, role-playing overcomes/supercedes roll-playing.

Whoever joins will be joining Lou Kasuri, a monk that grew up in Sandpoint along with his father and sister.

I have read and agree to the house rules my only hold up will be the need to be over the boards i don't have a steady schedule to allow any other method

On another note i will be away for the next 7 of 8 days in the Bahamas

Grand Lodge

Have fun, buddy! I may look into running it via the messageboards, but I am just concerned with combat flow. That is where I find the greatest fault in PbP games.

We will see.

If you were curious about our little group of 4 or at least 3, the game we were in is here. You can see we only got about 4 pages worth of gameplay in, and there's some interaction between our PCs that has started to establish us (three young adventurers and a slightly older burglar on the lam from Magnimar).

Hey i remember that game i didnt get in because it ws first come first in recuiting and i failed to see the thread in time.

well since our dm disappeared you didn't miss much lou

Grand Lodge

I will be looking at the characters soon to see what might need to be adjusted. Yossarin and Lou have checked the house rules, have the rest of you?

Grand Lodge

Little Bump. Again, I am not just running Yossarin and Lou. I need players that are willing to subject themselves to my house rules. If we can get three or four more, I will begin working on the campaign.

I am not planning to start until after we finish the last book in my face-to-face campaign, since I am playing. Don't want to spoil it for myself. ^_^

Hi there, I played Rauno in the campaign that Yossarin linked above. It would require a bit of tweaking, but the house rules are pretty interesting and I would like the opportunity to play in your future Jade Regent campaign.
