I just saw this and I had to post it because this has actually been a topic of some debate in our Skull and Shackles game, where I am playing a Tengu. Whoring is one thing this pirate can not do.

So my question, being newly armed with this information, would you play a Tengu any differently now?

Ok, that is amusing, but I don't know that this topic will last. Might be a bit too graphic, but we'll see.

Reading that articule, it did say that some birds do have them. Also, birds don't have hands, but Tengo do. So why not other more, um, mammal-en parts?

Grippli are going to have have this problem too; and you don't want to know what options are available to mind flayers.

But, use your imagination, because, ya' know, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

Well, Mind Flayers don't procreate sexually, so they are out of the equation anyway. Their host bodies should still have the equipment, though.

How has it been a debate in your game?

Are the other pirates pressing your PC to be "one of the boys", or are you just trying to flesh out what your character does while in port?

I pity the ones that do have them, but don't have hands.

Actually a little bit of both. There was a whore on our first ship and she wanted me to soak up some of her bad luck with a good shag. I couldn't and because of that the other pirates have made a little bit of sport of my Tengu for it.

I think only ducks have the right equipment, but if you ever seen a pic of one of those on a duck... well you would know why being un-equipped might be better than being ill-equipped.

I'm going to be as delicate as I can here, and stick it under a spoiler tag for good measure...

spoiler:
Tengu do have tongues, you know.

There's no need to make fun of them for it. Tenu are just hatched differently.

I remember looking in to this subject back when I was playing a Kenku through the Savage Tide AP.

From what I remember, most birds don't have penises, but that ones that do are either water fowl of some kind (ducks, for instance, have corkscrew shaped penises, and they do horrible things with them), or are flightless.

Tengu fall into the latter category, so its entirely possible for them to be an exception to the general rule on birds.

So how should this racial trait be priced for the ARG's Race Builder?

You're just finding this out?

Personally it think you're crazy for keeping those things on the outside and then engaging in a career of having people swing swords at you.
