As much as I'd like to award xp for talking us down from the edge, this isn't part of the game. Reminds me of an illustration I saw in an old game book where monsters were playing as students and employees. I think it was the Palladium Fantasy Rulebook. Not quite sure there.

Ah. Well I really enjoy this game and you guys as players. This is the longest game I've run consistenty and that's why I was willing to salvage it from the infamous TPK. I want tosee this through to the end and I dislike that I'm not keeping a decent pace. This game means a lot to me as a DM and a struggling writer. It's admittedly better than any video game I've ever played.
I'm loving it as well. I think when we get done with this, you should put into a book.

So...tried a couple of batteries. The car only turned over with my father-in-law juicing it with his truck, otherwise it didn't do anything. As far as we can tell, the belt on the motor may be the culprit. I have a warranty on the belt, so I'm hoping it's just the belt.

Well, it's good your dad/some people here seem to know something about cars. Mine is 21 years old, so it's having issues now. Every time there's a new problem, I feel like THAT GUY always asking for help.

Yeah, our car is 15 years old with nearly 250k miles on it. We're having to borrow some more out of Arista's retirement and we'll be looking into getting a newer car (at least, something that was built in the last 10 years). So, my sister-in-law has to take me to work again tonight, but it's the last night of my week. Then I can come home and freak out for a couple of days...
At least we have someone that can take you to work. Let's just be grateful for that. All is not lost.

Arista isn't liking how fast he went down though. She thinks it was too easy and a hasty exit might be a good idea. Maybe that entire place, town and all need to be burned to the ground.
We actually have a friend coming over today to look at the car for us. He may or may not be able to figure out whats wrong with it. If we can get it jump started, we are going to drive it over to his dads house who used to be an auto mechanic. He has really bad arthritis and can't really do the work on the car himself, but if he can figure out whats causing the problem, he can talk James through how to fix it.
I resubmitted my loan application for a higher amount and called them this morning. I should be getting a check within the next 6 business days. I need to use it to find another slightly newer used car. So, things aren't completely awful. I'm waiting on my mother in law to come over and take me to the store so I can get a few small things that I need.
