Edit: If I was a drinker, I would be wasted now given all that's gone on.

I think once you've passed the college phase, anything much past some wine with dinner isn't all it's cracked up to be unless you're dealing with a bunch of kneebiters.

Well, it is kind of a major plot point for Drago. And if all goes right with the side quest, that would be a lot of divine power. Just saying.

Well, the ascension process is supposed to be a big deal. We're dealing with abstracts anyway, so draining a mythic Alethiro would still mean becoming a 1st tier mythic character.

I must confess, I'm in the dark on what exactly the mythic/ascension business entails. It's probably in one of the newer books I haven't read, but it sounds nifty nonetheless!

I think the mythic rules sort of build upon the "epicness" I've been trying to present with this campaign. And really you aren't a group of ordinary heroes and haven't been for quite some time. You've had several brushes with the divine and I think your characters should reflect that.

Sounds like I should buy some people some pdfs for Christmas, if times weren't tough :(

Edit: For future reference, who does not have Mythic Adventures?

I only play PF on the forums, so investing cash on something I might use only once isn't really something i'm keen on. but then again it's only 10 bucks.

I might have some ideas if you're stumped Henry.

At this point, yes, I am stumped.

I don't, but I'm sure I can get a hold of it.

I have the Hero Lab Plug-in, but am a little in the dark about the exact rules myself.

Also, if I may chime in on the Mythic Ascension. Except for Arista and myself, everyone has died and comeback. Sādhanā doubly so. Now I would say that would be one hell of a start to ascension.

I'm sorry I haven't been on today everybody. It's just been a super crazy stressful day. I'll try to do better.

Update: Car died before I had to go to work last night, so my sister-in-law had to take me into work. Arista's folks are out here tonight, they are heading to California tomorrow morning to spend Thanksgiving with their other kids. Rent has been paid, we got a new car battery with the in-laws help and things aren't so dire. Arista had to borrow $1000 against her retirement fund, but it'll see us through for the rest of the month. I'm still going to be looking into another part time job to see if we can live our life of "luxury". Nah, it's more like saving Christmas. Anywho, we're fine (still a bit stressed out given what happened last night) and I apologize for a lack of updating.

Don't worry about it Henry. When it rains it pours.

I'm just glad to hear that everything is going to be okay.

We're are too, it's just been too difficult to relax.

Don't blame you one bit, just remember to breathe.

I know it is. Being told 'try to relax' when everything is going wrong is very hard.

Yeah, you're doing good just to get through the day without ripping someones head right off of their shoulders. We just try to remember that we've been through worse and not take it out on each other, but everyone else is fair game. *devil horns with an evil grin*

I hurt my knuckle when I punched a wooden power pole. That was back in Sep. Haven't done it since. Yet.

thats why I said we would both b out of a job. My mother telling me to calm down and relax isin't helping things either.

I thought you guys got a new car battery? Did that not fix it?

Nope...

That's disappointing…

Do you guys have AAA?

Sadly no.

Ask around your friends and coworkers to see if anyone you know has AAA. They can use it to get you a free tow to a mechanic.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

I don't know if anyone has it. Most people we know have the minimum insurance required cuz of how expensive everything is now. Don't even know if my parents will stick around long enough to help us get it somewhere. Once my dad is set on leaving somewhere at a certain time he's pretty intent on leaving at that time. They let us borrow money so we could pay the rent and get the battery. I don't know how much more they can do.

AAA isn't really insurance. It's more of a third-party service for situations like this. It's pretty popular. You'd be surprised how many people are members. It's also really cheap, something like $30 a year.

Just ask around. If I lived anywhere near you guys I would be happy to offer up mine. Last year I used up my allowance of free service just helping out friends and family.

You could also look for refurbished batteries, it might not last as long but it will be cheaper.

It sounds like the battery wasn't the culprit.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

Even if we could somehow manage to get the car towed to a mechanic we don't have the money to fix it. We pretty much don't have any options, or very few anyways. I don't know, let my dad sleep on it and see how he's feeling about it in the morning. I just hate that we have to rely on my parents every time crap like this happens.

I know it stinks.

Alternatively, you could have my parents that are always counting on me when bad stuff happens.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

I would be happy to help my parents out if I could. But I look like a mess compared to my other better educated, and home owning siblings.

If someone is sick, I'm there. Someone having surgery, I'm there. Need me to drop everything in my life and move to another state to take care of my ailing grandmother, I'm there. But thats the only way I can be there for them. They are old and retired and can't keep affording to bail us out of our problems.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

I wish I had the money to help them the way they have helped us. I really do.

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

I wish we had the money to help ourselves so they didn't have to. There has just been sooo much crap going on over the last few years that we just havn't been able to catch a break. And on the rare occasions where it looks like we just might start being okay and things start looking up, something else happens. It's just been a non stop cycle of s!+$.

That's life. =/

I swear there's a game here somewhere :-P

Female Aasimar Warpriest 5; Mythic tier 1st (Marshal); HP: 43/43; AC: 23(25), FF: 19, T: 14; Init: +1, Fort: +6, Ref: +2, Will: +7

IF our life wasn't so f+!!ing tragic it would be funny. Maybe a tragic/comedy? Is there such a thing?

Sorry, guys. This has gone oh so far over G rated it's not funny. I'm just to upset to keep it PG right now.

I apologize for dumping all this on you guys too. I know you're here for crazy adventures and I'm not delivering.

Wait, this isn't part of the adventure?!
