Question on double weapons.

Rules Questions

It says that I can built a double weapon with different materials. However, do I have to pay twice to have both ends made of the same materials? I.e. Do I pay 6k instead of 3k to get a fully adamantine double blade?

I know that this is crossing over from the advice section, but I am currently using a Vivisectionist dual wielding bastard swords. I think that spending a hero point to retrain bastard sword to double sword (and no, I am not considering claws, due to lack of permanent enchantments to them, and mighty fists is just expensive) would give me +2 reliable attack bonus at the cost of 2 unreliable damage. Should I take it?

If my party sell the dragon hoard (40k Gp split 9 ways) and I sell both my swords (1 +1 and 1 masterwork) at a decent price I should be able to land at about 8,160Gp, which would allow me to get a pretty good (possibly adamantine) double sword to fight with.

Silver Crusade

Yes, everything costs double apart from the base price (100gp for a two-bladed sword).

So if it were masterwork at both ends it would cost 100+300+300=700gp.

If one end were mwk and the other adamantine it would cost 100+300+3000=3400gp.

If both ends were adamantine it would cost 100+3000+3000=6100gp.

If you enchanted one end of your completely adamantine two-bladed sword to be, say +1 keen, it would cost 6100+8000=14100.

If you then enchanted the other end to be +1, it would cost 6100+8000+2000=16100gp.

I hope this makes it clear. : )

Also the amulet of mighty fists now costs only as much as a magic weapon, i will try to dig out the blog post that says it.

EDIT: I found it, it's here.
