Character Suggestion

Advice

In a party of awesome folks, and my character may be about to die soon. So I come to you wonderful folks on advice on a fun character to play.

Right now we are all third level. The part consists of

Monk TWF style
Sorcerer going to dragon diciple (melee focused eventually)
Barbarian, nothing special, straight up damage.
Rogue (don't know much about him, he's kinda secretive)

I was contemplating either an Inquisitor or Witch as my next character. We don't really need a dedicated healer, our DM is good with working with us as is. (Giving us ways to heal out of combat and such.)

If I do witch I was thinking the Beasty witch, and if I was doing Inquisy I was going to do the infiltrator.

Suggestions or opinions?

As all those character seem fairly combat focused i'd suggest an archery based bard or evangelist cleric to grant them buffs and allow some ranged capablility while still keeping to the lightly armored theme your party seems to have.

I'll second the archery bard suggestion. The monk and rogue in particular would love Inspire Courage.

Liberty's Edge

Honestly, it sounds like as long as you aren't copycatting the other characters, you could go pretty much anything and have fun. It sounds like your DM is flexible enough in his encounter and session design that you can diversify a little and not worry. I say, play around with random classes and find something interesting, then roll with it. You've got three very capable melee characters, from the sound of things, and if you don't NEED a dedicated healer, you have a world of options open to you. Have fun with it!

In that party, I'd definitely go with some kind of character with access to divine spells: Cleric, Oracle, Druid, Inquisitor, Witch, or Bard.

Fixed it for you, Witches and Bards aren't divine spells :)

I think that I'm going to go with a BEast Bonded Witch. It sounds like it could be a ton of fun.

Witches and Inquisitors aren't classes I have a whole lot of experience with... it does look like your group could use some nice AoE damage and control, espcially with your only caster going in a melee direction. An Elven Evoker perhaps?

Another option might be a Kitsune Sorcerer (Fey Bloodline). If well-made they can be a lot of fun to play, incredibly potent in exactly the opposite fashion of your current Sorcerer and will address some areas that your group looks light on.

If you're curious about a build for either, just let me know.

Beast bonded witch is great. I recommend killing your familiar asap so it can start magic jaring enemies at will.

Playing my lawful evil witch has been one of the most fun times I've had playing this game. Hexes are the best.

My party will be duelling guards to prove themselves to the commander so we can get hired, and I'll just be sitting on the sidelines snapping my fingers using Fortune and Misfortune while simultaneously drinking from a tea cup held in my prehensile hair.
